The box score has an EWU player, Alexander, as 0-16 from the field. Is that true? I don't think ive ever seen that. I noticed that too. If she just shoots 25%, they win.

Interesting game to watch- When Timea plays this will be a very different team. Currently Lex and Lily are trading off on the 4 position and neither one is a rebounding type of person. Boxing out is a concept neither is familiar with. EWU got 18 offensive rebounds, and against top 50 teams that means the Beav's will lose. Mit and Beers combined for 18 pts, 23 rebounds, and 5 blocks. They did play together for a few minutes, but not that much this game. Asked Beers about who was taller, her or Timea. She said that the OSU web site is wrong and that she is taller than Timea and is 6'4".I think this game is the most aggressive game I've seen Talia play. She was not going to allow the team to lose this one. But the cost was her getting beat up. AJ didn't have a great game, but it was ok. This teams lack of TO's keeps surprising me. This teams inability to hit the 3 also keeps surprising me. Going to become a mental block if this keeps up. Very interesting tidbit about Beers saying she is 6-4. I thought I heard the stream announcer say she is 6-4 as well and wondered about it. Do they introduce her as 6-4 at the games? I wonder if they're going to change it on the official roster. I've already become a big fan based on what I've seen during her short college career. I really believe she will continue to be effective against the "better" teams and will become a key player for the Beavers as they move forward.

I think TVO LEADERSHIP SHOULD INCLUDE more GETTING HER TEAM MATES involved in shooting, inside and out. Not much ball movement. She try’s to look for her shots first to much . That is an advantage at pt. guard. I think it .hurt lily and adlee and others. . Our total assists atest to this. Not a very well forced passing game in half court. TVO IS A GREAT free throw shooter. But this is early season should have more shots by others. If you really have a half court offense.

I’m 6’5 and walked passed Beers before the USC football game, she’s much much much closer to 6’4 that she is to 6’2, that is for certain.

I think she started to look for her shot a lot more when it was evident she needed to take over the game in order for the Beavers to win. They had the entire first half and part of the second to figure things out. They did in the win against Seattle, but EWU is a much better team. And I'm not a knee-jerk TVO supporter. I've been pretty vocal about her turnovers and how she's not a true point guard. But she is the best player on the team, particularly when it comes to reliable production on offense and the ability to turn it up when needed.

It's definitely a big plus for her to be closer to 6-4 than the listed 6-2, especially going against stronger teams in the Pac-12 and otherwise that might have some decent bigs. To be clear, I wasn't doubting what she said. It just made me all the more excited about her potential as a big-time impact player.

Just watching her standing on the court, she looks taller than Timea, so I'd agree closer to 6'4" than 6'2". When she grabs a rebound, it stays grabbed - she has no intention of letting anybody take it away.
So far, she seems to avoid fouling and turnovers; we'll see if that remains the case against better competition. The only knock on her right now is free throw shooting - something to work on.

Picture a dime on the top of the front of the rim and shoot over it. That is how I was taught.
