This would have been about a week after Miss Cosgriff started high school? She is perhaps still 13 years old?

However as a mother of a child just starting high school - if she had been doing all the things to learn the sport and on the summer circuit... getting noticed at this stage would be kinda cool. Making decisions at this age - not so much.
My same daughter asked to start a new sport and it was a bit shocking that several sports at the high school level already have the expectation that they know to play (soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball). Actually kind of a bummer for young people wanting to try new things.

Would have been much better had she been at the UCLA game ! USC game was one of the worst performances by a Beav WBB team in the past several years. |

Well she is just a freshman in Hi-School this year so she'll have many more opportunities to see OS play better especially since she lives in Vancouver Wa.....and another way to look at it is she might think this team really needs me after seeing that USC debacle! I found this quote about her 1st 2 Hi-School games: "Brooklynn Haywood’s shooting form is impressive. The freshman from Union scored 23 points – her jersey number – in her high school debut last week against Mountain View. This week, she set a program record with 35 points in a game!" |

One change to WBB recruiting rules that essentially went into effect this month: prospects are allowed to start taking official visits (now maxed at 4) on Jan. 1 of their junior year (currently the 2024 class); the previous beginning date was the Thursday following the Final Four
