Kevin Stanley is an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Corban University and is also employed by Salem-Keizer School District. Has an MBA from Corban too.

One of my all-time favorites! Isn't Katie 6'-2"? Looks like her fella is at least 3" taller. Watch for that next generation - boys or girls.

I always enjoy seeing updates on the women who put in their 4 years with the program, and then went on to good things in their lives - Ruth's nuptials, Katie's engagement, Kat's 31 point game, anything that Mik or Syd do . . .
It's a shame, from my perspective, that this will never be the case with Taylor or Kennedy.

I can't argue with that. I won't follow them either. In fairness, Katie, Ruth, Syd, Mik, etc, had better team success while here, and Kennedy and Taylor were here during the Covid years, when the team played less, and had less social contact with the fans. Still, I suspect Taylor will have good success on a talented Texas team, and I think Kennedy still has a chance at breaking out, but I won't be paying attention to them anymore than I would with any other players who aren't Beavers.

Clarification: Could care less about Taylor or Kennedy.....Taya, I'll check in once in awhile to see how she's doing. Further clarification of Taylor and Kennedy: - If they average 16 minutes of playing time per game between them.....fine with me
- Never have been a huge fan of either. Could name a few 3* players at OSU that were much better (one being DH)

Sure, hijack a post celebrating Katie Mc's happy news for a bitter-beer-face snarl about some former players who cruelly abandoned you. Maybe you should start a thread about former OSU WBB players you don't care for. That'd be highly entertaining. And probably good therapy for you. Meanwhile, back on topic. A great photo.

Katie is one I wish had played pro ball, but I think she's more than satisfied where she is! As for all these portal xfrs, it's too easy nowadays to give up and leave. Without actually working/suffering/praying through issues, it's difficult to grow and mature in life. I suppose there are exceptions, and we can't be blind to them. I don't see Katie ever giving up.

(1) I am yet to see a thread on this board that wasn't 'hijacked' and turned into another topic, which was then 'hijacked' . . . (2) You will note that the main body of my post expressed enjoyment at hearing of the later in life exploits of those who who were part of the program for the (then) full allotment of 4 years. Then I added an aside that it was too bad, in my opinion, that Taylor and Kennedy would not someday join that group. I fail to see how that statement of regret qualifies as a bitter beer face snarl. (Good line, by the way; who'd you steal it from?)

You missed the point I was making. If you could care less, then you actually do care. If you could NOT care less, then you don't care.

Katie did play one season of professional basketball in Germany following the end of her OSU career. Will make a quality coach (like her father) one day if she continues to follow that path.
