So - we open with Iowa vs. Caitlin Clark. Opposite of us is Duke vs. UConn. If we lose vs. Iowa and Duke loses to UConn (pretty likely), then Rueck coaches against Aleah with Taya and Kennedy on that roster. That's a very interesting situation that statistically is fairly likely to happen. I guess worst-case is that we play UConn instead, but that's some must-watch basketball on the schedule!!

Am I the only one who finds it odd that UofO isn't playing in the Phil Knight Legacy tournament?

Am I the only one who finds it odd that UofO isn't playing in the Phil Knight Legacy tournament? UO is playing in the Phil Knight Invitational, which is essentially the other bracket/tournament that makes up the entire event. Ok, that's bizarre.

The entire schedule of both events: www.rosequarter.com/hoops/hoops-headquartersBoth events run 11/24 to 11/27. Both events use 3 venues - Chiles Center (University of Portland) / Moda Center / Veterans Memorial Coliseum Minor difference in descriptions: PK Legacy - "...celebrate the sport of college basketball while honoring the contributions of Phil Knight to the game..."
PK Invitational - "...in honor of Phil Knightâs impact on the game as a celebration of college basketball..." OSU WBB & MBB in the Legacy UO MBB & WBB in the Invitational

And as a side note Amari Whiting will be now playing for her mom at BYU. Makes sense and would be fun playing for a parent.

It's probably too soon, but has anyone seen ticket prices posted anywhere for this event? I've stayed away from the PKI in the past because of the high (for me) ticket prices in the Men's brackets....
I have a feeling the sports dollar is going to be hard to squeeze from the average fan this year - more so than in the past several years. Quite a bit more....
Also, I think a lot of OSU & UO WBB fans are going to be in wait-and-see mode this year.... The Ducks have had sky high expectations in recent years, and have not lived up to their own self-generated hype....
The Beavs have seen a lot of success over the 7 years, but not much in the past 2 or 3. So I can see a lot of fans staying home until there is some evidence that we are going to perform higher than expected - which, frankly, isn't very high by our standards....
At any rate, as I repeatedly mention, it's only July and we've got a lot of miles to travel before the first tip-off..... GO BEAVS!!

Donât think the Beavers will have a chance against Iowa. Maybe if KB, TC and TJ were all still on the team. But they quitâŠ. Great opportunity for the new young recruits to play against one of the best teams in the country. Go Beavs!

I bought a ticket May 2nd when they were first available for $160 (sideline, lower level), but looking at the link now, the price for 6 events (Men and Womenâs games) is no lower than $234. My ticket might be for just the womenâs games⊠I canât remember for sure. There are a lot of questions about this team, but Iâm pretty optimistic about it. I think they could surprise Iowa.

Sounds like this Phil Knight guy has a bit of an ego.

Yea, just saw that. Huge loss for UConn and WBB. Specific to OSU, it makes it less likely that theyâll have a game with Duke, although UConn will still likely be favored vs Duke.
