No, they said they’re done, unless ND decides to join them. Uo gives them nothing. LOL you believe "the Big 10 said...." Oregon and Washington are part of the bigger picture that is Tier 1 college football. The Pac 10 is not. Maybe Utah. Maybe ASU. I doubt Stanford and Cal even though there is value to the Bay Area. So whatever the Pac 12 puts together...they better not plan on Oregon and Washington being part of it long term. I wonder what Phil Knight has to say about the ducks trying to leave. If he doesn't like it, him saying that he would no longer financially support them going forward would pretty much immediately squash any thoughts of chasing money in the Big10. Can't go against dads wishes and still expect him to give you money. Of course, if he doesn't care or, God forbid, thinks it's a good thing, then they be gone.

Make Oregon as much of a National and international presence as possible and make sure the Nike Brand is front and center. If it gets Oregon more attention he’s probably fine with it.

Oregon reached out to the Big 10...not the other way around. Do you think they did that without sugar daddy's blessing? The Pac 12 is done. Maybe it stumbles along for a few more years but what's happening is obvious. The big money (TV) is consolidating who it wants to participate. It may end up at a 20 team Big 10 vs a 20 team SEC. Maybe they both expand to 24 each. It won't include Oregon State

Maybe they both expand to 24 each. It won't include Oregon State you are right. OR State will be left out of that scenario. That is why they must jump on contacting the Big 12 and finding a way to gain entry now. That door, if it does exist, is slammed shut if other teams move first and the Pac falls apart.

Oregon State should form its own conference.

I was down on the Pac-12 minus two at first, but I have been mulling it over. Without Oklahoma and Texas, the Big 12 is simply not that strong. They want to get into the Pac-12's giant markets. The Pac-12, if we can hang together is much stronger than the Big 12, especially with a San Diego State and a UNLV, let's say. Pac-18.......or something. There is a great conference with the best parts of the Big 12 and Mountain West. We just have to get there.

Hasnt said no…. Has said take a seat…..there’s a difference. No, they said they’re done, unless ND decides to join them. Uo gives them nothing. Not way I read that at all. If ND Says meh… no. Then the uo and uw issue becomes active. If ND Agrees, and retracts from ACC in other sports.. then yea, it gets more problematic for uw and uo in Big10. Just supposition…. As is everything spoken regarding this post topic… that maybe… the Big12 comes to agree to addition of uo and uw. And maybe Stanford, … UA, ASU. actually, I’m sure maybe CU would be accepted. As a prior member. Maybe Utah. just me, I think Big12 is in better position to cherry pick the remaining PAC than the other way around. Could be wrong. But we shall see. I just hope Beavs are not left with a 2 legged stool. But I think they will be.

Nobody in Texas gives a s%#t about Texas Tech and Baylor.

I like what Jackson says. If I were the Pac 12, and the remaining ten teams stay, I would invite (somewhat sheepishly) BYU and San Diego State. 12 teams. If we had to go to 16, I would try to poach other members of the Big 12 and try to get a foothold in Texas. We're clearly at the point where no one (except a lot fans!) gives a ____ about regions anymore. My concern is trying to hold onto what’s left Stanford andCalifornia for two. Let the ducks go….. haha. But keep what’s left will also be a challenge.

There is some chatter that Stanford is the first choice to the Big Ten, if Notre Dame also decides to go to the Big Ten.
