Pillsbury hit a homerun every three games on average this year. Against us 2 of 3. Plus his average was like .400. Something tells me we should have walked him every time.,

Yep didn't exactly get any hits when really needed. Really the story of the series. The story of the series is that, even though Auburn only scored 13 earned runs in three full games, FIVE of those earned runs were scored in the first 2- 2/3 innings of Game 1. That set the tone. Auburn knew right then that OSU was beatable at Goss.

Yes, they are a good team. But they dogpiled. Now they are sure to lose in Omaha. I think all of them may have dogpiled this year. Wait did Stanford? Great Stanford is going to win.

It came down to 1 mistake pitch to a good hitter with a man on in front of him. Simple as that. Whether he should have struck out on the pitch before, I can't say as I was listening to the radio broadcast. The loss stings right now and will for a while but the sun will come up tomorrow and each day is an opprotunity to get better.

We had plenty of opportunities to take the lead and get ahead by 2-3 runs. O fer with RISP will not get it done. These were two very evenly matched teams. They made some timely plays and we didn’t. There was no pitching issue in this game. You only give up 3 hits and you will win most of your games. They just made the most of those hits.

Doesn’t that “set the tone” It did for a few minutes....but - in my very humble opinion - them snatching the Beavs early lead back from them, by the end of the 3rd, was a bigger deal. Especially being the road team.

I get the fact that we didn't get the timely hit but if that pitch isn't left out over the plate to a good hitter, our offense would have scored enough to win. This will be argued back and forth for quite a while. It is just my opinion. Can't wait till next baseball season. Go Beavs!!!

Yes, if our pitchers threw no hitters every game, we would be pretty good. And to the guy that said we should’ve walked him with a runner on first…c’mon. He may look like Babe Ruth, but he’s not Babe Ruth…..or roided up Barry Bonds. You just don’t do that.
