Here goes: Don't follow me I'm a s%#tty gambler. Notre Dame @ Tennessee Louisville @ Texas A&M Arkansas @ North Carolina Auburn @ Oregon State Ole Miss @ So Miss Oklahoma @ Va Tech UConn @ Stanford Texas @ East Carolina The winners are: Tennessee Texas A&M North Carolina Oregon St Ole Miss VA Tech Stanford Texas These are my 8 for Omaha. I have to ask. Why are your regionals and picks ordered that way? It's not ordered by time, visiting name, home name or regional name from what I can tell. So, why are they ordered that way? I don't like picking teams that are on Oregon State's side of the bracket, because I am very torn on it all. On the other side of the bracket, I would like to see Texas A&M as the team that Oregon State plays in the Championship Series. I think that they present the fewest matchup problems in a vacuum. Having said that, I would be concerned to go up against both Troy Claunch and Nate Yeskie. That is sort of my same thought on the most important Regional besides the Corvallis Regional, the Hattiesburg Regional, winner plays Oregon State first at Omaha. I believe that Oregon State matches up better against Ole Miss in a vacuum, but I am concerned about going up against Jack Washburn. And that is not necessarily because of his pitching, but because of his insight into the coaches and non-freshman players. Don't over think this. I'm a lazy f%#*er. I copied the order from a SEC fan. Then I made my picks. You can order it anyway you want. "I just want to see your picks."😀

Looking like I may have missed the boat not betting more than $5 a series.

That was cool man. Good for Troy! The crowd loved it, team loved it, I loved it. Glad he landed in a place he’s appreciated and his talent fits the roster. He did screw up my day though. My only miss so far.

My only miss so far. Troy Claunch's talent fits pretty much every roster, Oregon State's included. The Beavers are able to develop some new talent without him. But Oregon State might be one of the 20 or so teams that would not kill for him to be playing for them. I mean Claunch had the first RBI, scored the third run and then drove in the fifth an final run in the game today. He was on the Buster Posey Watch List. No catcher from Oregon State was on the list. I mean you can read about him, if you would like. He's a great catcher.

From memory he usually had to hop the ball the second and other teams really started exploiting it in the post season. Claunch (2021) slash was .305/.379/.399 with a fielding percentage of .988 and CSB% of 27% (13/48). Logan has a slash of .298/.385/.449 with a .997 fielding percentage and CSB% of 29% (6 for 21). Smith has a slash of .234/.333/.419 and a fielding percentage of 1.00. He has a CSB% of 67% (6 for 9). Wilson is supposedly the most gifted catcher on the roster, I guess we will see next year. So the stats pretty much show that Claunch was a good catcher but had guys right behind him that could do what he could do but also had more gifted arms for dynamic defense. As far as they have shown all 3 are high quality people. It just boiled down to Claunch needed to move somewhere with a weaker roster if he wanted a chance to improve and showcase his talent because he was going to struggle to hold 3 talented younger players off for playing time.

His arm wasn’t as much of an issue as his past ball problems. He had a tough year last year. He is a better hitter than both catchers on our roster and he would have been a great option as a DH if he had stayed.

I thought it had to do with his major? If I remember right, he wants to be a firefighter? Is that right?
