Hjerpe was so fired up on that last pitch it looked like his lip was quivering and might start crying

Never heard of him before this post. Keith Law sounds like a little bitch. He is a pretty well known baseball writer so that's on you. But I do agree with your second sentence. And don't bother trying to argue with him as others have tried. He is very closed minded and will bring up any pitcher that has ever pitched for the Beavers and also had Tommy John and say that they were overused. Imagine that he’s going back to the Abel/Rasmussen/Pat Casey well often tonight.

It's happening all over the country today - ace after ace coming on in relief.

Hjerpe was so fired up on that last pitch it looked like his lip was quivering and might start crying He got his team to the next weekend. He also showed a lot of grit. I can't help but think his draft stock went up today.

Had to be a tough day for Rafter and Grackle. Inexperienced MiLB coach somehow beat legendary experienced college coach and has us in a Super Regional, and pitching coach made almost all the right moves with the bullpen. The turnaround from how we ended 2019, and from what he inherited in 2020 to where we are now is significant. Hjerpe was pitching on two full days rest. Faced seven batters. Bob Gibson would tell these Twitter guys to GFT. Yeah, I get it, but don’t think both those guys didn’t want the Beavs to pull it out like everyone else.

Well known baseball writer but certainly not a baseball mind. It’s Hjerpe’s bullpen day. He threw 30(ish) pitches. He’s on rhythm and ready for Friday. Makes little sense to have him throw a bullpen while a game’s going on.

And now Canham and the Beavers are getting killed on Twitter by baseball writer Keith Law for over using Hjerpe. He loves to rip coaches and college programs for doing this. Law is roasting 3 or 4 teams for using Fri night guys today. Seems to be his hot button issue. I would trust a MiLB manager over a writer when it comes to preparing players for the bigs.

Great gut check win. Now we must clean things up for Auburn. Auburn with a 'clean' 3-0 Regional. Scored 51 runs in 3 games.

Drew Dowd of Stanford started yesterday. And is pitching in relief today.

What's even worse are the comments to his tweets, people that don't follow college baseball but are just outraged by all of this. Urging players to turn pro out of high school to avoid these "awful" college coaches that only care about winning games. I find it all pretty funny.

Perhaps but they have a mighty strange way of showing it.
