Remember listening to Blazer games in their inaugural year on my transistor radio. Then using that, I found SF Giants games at 680 and the Dodgers LV affiliate at 720. From rural southern Oregon I felt I was connected to the world.

For a couple of untelevised Beavers at Cal football games I found a bay area A.M. broadcast to listen to, 810 am I think. One of the games the signal started fading in the second half, or I should say it started to get crowded out by a stronger signal from south of the border as I was too far east that particular night and 810 is directional norths-south signal. It was a close game and so I got in my truck and drove around trying to find a sweet spot. I caught bits and pieces of the game and that was as good as it got. but I was in heaven just getiting any kind of update on the score. Those were the days.
