I had to remind myself, tomorrow is Sun, so minimal affect on next week. No midweek game. Regionals start either Fri or Sat depending on the bracket
my guess is the weekend starters + Ferrer are unavailable. Does Townsend start and pitch 3 innings? As for the pen, plan on seeing a bunch of guys come out for an inning of work, 2 max and then done.

As for the pen, plan on seeing a bunch of guys come out for an inning of work, 2 max and then done. Townsend threw 57 pitches today. Asking Townsend to throw at all tomorrow is a big ask. Freshest arms: Jaren Hunter: 59 pitches and three days' rest. Reid Sebby: 47 pitches and two days' rest.
You probably can throw Mitchell Verburg some. Maybe Brown.
Oregon State decided to paint themselves into a corner. Let's hope that Mitchy Slick can find us a way out.

His last four appearances have not been terrible, and three have been against Gonzaga, Oregon and Arizona. He can hopefully eat up two innings. I also have been hard on Carpenter, mostly because he has been awful over the past five weeks. But one of his best pitching performances was against Stanford. If we could get good Carpenter back, he could hopefully give us a solid 2-3 innings. Carpenter pitched against eight Cardinal in the Sunday game: Jones,B struck out looking (2-2 BBKKK). Bowser,D hit a ground ball to 3b, reached and advanced to second on an error(1-0 B). Troy,T grounded out to 3b (0-2 KK); Bowser,D advanced to third. Crampton,A grounded out to 2b (1-1 BK). Montgomery,B doubled to right field (0-0). Lomuscio,J struck out swinging (0-2 SFFS). Graham,C struck out swinging to catcher (3-2 FBBKBS). Barrera,B struck out swinging (1-2 BKFS).

Available arms aren't great: how about Hibbard, Verburg, Lattery. Hunter and Sebby only if needed.
And Victor Quinn only threw 4 pitches today.

I don't know how much they really want him to throw. If he can go, he is a better choice than Brown. But Brown should be able to throw at least an inning in a pinch. I don't know that I would stretch him to two innings. Quinn threw great against Long Beach State and Portland. Gonzaga, Grand Canyon and Stanford roughed him up. Quinn's longest outing on the year is 12 pitches. Quinn is an emergency reliever.

Fresh arms: Hibbard, Case, Grewe. No idea if they travelled. 3 Days Rest: Hunter 2 Day Rest: Sebby Light Use Yesterday: Verburg, Quinn, Carpenter, Boisvert Hard Use but could be sacrificed? Thornstien, Lawson. Off freaking limits cause this game does not really matter: Ferrer, Lattery, Hjerpe, Kmatz, Pfennigs, Townsend, Brown.
We should have enough arms available to finish the game. If we’re going to win it the bats better be ready to put up 10+. The game does not matter so anyone who needs rest or has injuries should rest.
I expect this to be a crappy game with lots of errors, a stupid tight zone, and 16+ hits between the two teams. I’m going to watch and be entertained but don’t want to see anymore injuries or any critical arms used at all. Idc if Darwin takes the mound, no one on the final list should throw.

If its me, the kid gets tonight off.

Lattery is apparently back. That's great news. Prior to the 2nd week in April, he was our #4 starter. His WHIP is 1.14, his ERA is 2.25, and he's only given up 1 HR in 24 innings (with 22 Strikeouts and 6 BB). I'm hoping they use him tonight vs. Stanford for at least an inning. The one inning he pitched yesterday vs. UCLA could use a bit more live game action leading up to the Regionals - Supers - Omaha.
