How did he get the nickname donkey? Good question. I came up with my own nickname for him.....Big Country No. What, you want him to wash out in the NBA? That nickname has been taken.

I posted the "Donkey" moniker way back -it might still be in the board archives I saw it in an article with a picture of Garrett when he was 9 or 10 years old playing youth league baseball in Roseville (as I recall). His Little League teammates begin calling him "Donkey" or, "the Donkey". It stuck with him and he's kept it for about 10 years now.
The article was in either the Sacramento Bee or the Roseville paper. I caught the link when I googled him about 2 years ago. I'll look and see if I still have it in a file.

How about Beaver Tail Whap? What has happened to Tom? He's retired but just posts on Facebook. He sends me messages every once in a while.
