But, since their (discussed on another thread) sweep of UCLA the first weekend of May in Seattle, the last 9 of those wins have been against teams with RPI's > 100.
Including a 4-game sweep this weekend against RPI #297 (out of 'just' 301 teams) Northern Colorado. U. of No. Colo. Bears pitching staff finished the season with an 8.45 ERA >>>>> and that's against an array of teams that gave the U. of No. Colo Bears a Strength of Schedule that ranked 281.
So while the Beavs tuned up for Scottsdale against a quality PAC-12 team, the Fuskies were cooling their heels in Seattle against one of the worst D-1 teams in the country.
