With that logic true freshmen would never get an at-bat. This is the 53rd game of the season. Never said true freshmen shouldn't bat. But 53 games in? His first AB? Tells me and probably tells other guys on the bench that canham has no confidence in any of them. He wasn't healthy for most of the season. It's not like he's so low on the totem pole that he wasn't used until game 53. All it tells me is that he's now healthy enough to play finally. |

Katz has struggled early in games. He has righted the ship in most of them but the Beavers really needed a zero on the board after the Melton homerun. All momentum crushed.

Our bottom of the of the lineup is horrid at bat. I don't understand putting in a guy that has never faced an opposing pitcher at this level. If he’s healthy and adjusts by post season he could be critical. Not like we lose much pulling Fuchs out of DH since he’s facing a lefty. |

Checked on Flanagan. Guys been good this season but he has only gone over 70 pitches twice.
