Interesting....only 3-1/3 innings pitched all season, to date. Possibly a 'bridge' to the typical late-inning hurlers? Possibly trying to expand the staff for post-season? He did a great job! (I'll say that.). My guess is Dorman is trying to prepare the staff for tourney time. An inning or two against a good hitting team is priceless for coaching a young arm.

Stark contrast in Canham vs Waz sales pitch to recruits. Canham: help make you a good person, husband, father, etc. Waz: get to meet some football players! That was solid gold from Mitch. Pat Casey 101.

Bottom of 7th
Boyd strike out. (0 for 4 today) Forrester strike out. (0 for 3 today)
In typical Duck logic, new pitcher coming in. Mosiello.
Melton line drive caught.
End of 7

Two great name checks today by PAC 12 announcer:
a.) he credited - I believe after digesting the O-live article - Tyler Graham as being key toward Meckler's development. and
b.) he mentioned Zach Clayton (who played out of HS for the Elks) as being a VERY key base runner in the Beavs 2018 glory.
Both those individuals (Graham & Clayton) figure in the past and/or present/future reality of the Bend Elks. The 2022 Bend Elks will have Joey Wong as HC and TG as a coach-supreme. Few can teach an up-and-coming hitter the intricacies of bat-to-ball like Tyler.

Sick teamwork. Love to see that Boisvert had no hesitation covering first. That’s the kind of thing that gets you big trust. 2 great innings. 1H, 1K 22 pitches 6 outs.

A good pitcher in any league aims for 15 pitches an inning.

Can’t believe they are pulling their pitcher here. He just mowed down two good hitters.

I pray this does not cause a jinx, but here's how the vaunted Duck offense has produced vs. the Beavs in (as of now, with 2 innings left on the season v. the Toilet Seats):
43 innings.....9 Runs. Whoop-de-frikin'-doo!
Less than 2 runs per game, on average (and yes... I'm enjoying some excellent NW beers).
