Good get! Will she play point guard? She’s more of a two-guard (especially with a scoring PG) that does a lot of the little things well, but she may have to play some PG at OSU, especially depending on who else we can pick up. Solid A/TO at Arizona.

She will bring leadership to a potentially very young team. That could work out to be her greatest asset.

Thanks for sharing the article. It's pretty much the best news I've seen for a few weeks. I really like her: Rueck is excited to have her too!

Yeaney has 4 years experience in the Big 10 and the PAC 12, and so has demonstrated she is capable of transitioning to our team. Nothing against Adams or Codding, but I feel much better about this than I did about either of them.

Nice to read that Rueck was the 1st to contact Bendu once she declared for the portal. To have a player with her experience, and toughness on our roster, will be great for the rest of the young ones. Bendu has the credentials to teach what it takes to be a winner in the PAC-12. Great addition to OSU Program.

Bendu will be a great addition to the team. But Barnes was willing to have her go because she had the same problem Rueck had last year, lack of scoring. Defense is great but someone needs to score. I hope the a couple of the Frosh can step up and take care of the teams scoring needs, because it doesn't seem like much will be coming from Bendu.

Bendu is the closest to fitting the description of "physical athlete" that Rueck has recruited for the back court in the last 8 years, or so. The difficulty he faces with her is that the skills she has the most of are the skills Rueck traditionally uses the least of.
But, all things considered, I think this is an essential recruit for Rueck - and, importantly, essential for the improvement of the program. The team has lacked quickness and raw physical athleticism for several years. The trade-off has been fielding excellent 3-point shooters - and this past year they dried up, leaving us short on both athleticism and dangerous shooters...
Rueck will figure out a way to use Bendu's exceptional speed, and defensive aggressiveness, without trying to make them the team trademark. Now Coach has to find and sign what every coach dreams of - a physically gifted athlete who also is a gifted scorer...And, as we know, there ain't many of them..
Hopefully, more encouraging portal news is on its way.....But I think Bendu is a very good start. GO BEAVS!!

And, equally important maybe stem the posts on how terrible the portal is and how in the world can players bounce from school to school. Including the "what's wrong with our youth... what's wrong with those coaches/programs?" It's college athletics for now so to survive deal within the system as presented. OSU signs a great athlete from the portal, 3rd school in 5 years, and all seems better now!

I fail to see how our gaining one individual via the portal is supposed to change anybody's mind about the portal in general. I thought it was one of the worst things the NCAA ever did when they first came out with it, thought it was an abomination each time we lost somebody, and didn't think anything positive about it when we signed somebody through it.
