From D1 Tennessee lost two this week Miami has done the same Probably not. That’s only the third loss of Tennessees season. Be pretty weird to put a 7 loss team above them.

#1 on Monday? Sure, or at least tied for it. In the PAC that is!

I'd say we are not yet #1 material so it shouldn't happen yet. There is the fact that we went four games without giving up a walk or making an error. Not sure anyone else in the Country can say that.

Tennessee early schedule doesn't look near as impressive as it did earlier. Ole Miss and Vandy are not playing well. Their OOC schedule is pretty weak. They still have their toughest series left. Arkansas may still be the class of the SEC. There is more parity this year than any year I can remember. Alot of 2 seeds that I would not want in my regional.

They just entered the hard part of their schedule and immediately lost the first game. They have 2 more games with Alabama, @florida, midweek game with Xavier (comparison game for us), Auburn, @kentucky, Georgia and closing regular season with @miss State. All those teams are over 500 and most well over it. Going to be a tough road for a team that has barely been tested.

Question - if Beavs are in top 10 nationally why aren't they on TV more?
***Didn't want to start a new thread, thought this might be a good place to ask.***
As I don't pay for Pac12 network, selfishly I like the live stream. But seems they should be getting more coverage.
Thanks in advance for any insights.

Other networks realize that college baseball doesn’t bring in a lot of revenue in the northwest. I prefer the streams. Hate when it’s on Pac 12 Network.

Vols are obviously a very good team, but yea, their non conf schedule has been very weak.....they are pretty cocky too. I can't say I'm disappointed seeing them suffer some adversity. Pipes em down a bit.

#2 in D1..Tennessee remains in 1st Tennessee may have lost their #2 pitcher for the year after he took a line drive to his throwing elbow. Their staff is really deep though, so it shouldn't hurt them too bad. Watched some of their games against Bama and their high heat reliever Ben Joyce who throws over a 100 and has been clocked at 104. That dude is legit, and 100 mph pitch looks a lot different than a low-mid 90's fast ball. Strikes out over 50% of the batters he faces and only has 5 walks on the season vs. 28 Strikeouts. You don't want to see this guy in 8th or 9th down a run or more.

Back in 2018 there was a kid by the name of Matt Cronin from Arkansas who was held in similar esteem. His last inning on the mound in NCAA competition included an "at bat from hell."
