I figured Alatishe was gone after this year regardless, as he wanted to go pro even after the Elite 8 season. We hat plan really got off track, and I’m not sure what his best move even would be at this point.

I thought both had graduated and were pretty much a done deal. A lot of players seem to be choosing not to use the extra year that was granted from COVID. Calloo announced he's entering the draft. He's not in the portal. |

The top 5 scorers off of last year's team are now gone. I have lost track, who is left off of last year's roster?
Normally losing that much scoring is not a good thing, but then again, this was a 3-win team. We are basically starting over, new assistants and new players. WT has to rebuild a program from scratch, and he has one year to do it.

Taylor, Akanno, Rand and Andela all averaged more points per game played this last season than any player Tinkle inherited from Robinson... Woohoo - we're loaded! Realize, I'm jesting about the loaded part, but the first part is totally true and they were picked to be last in conference by everybody. The Beavers finished 17 and 14 overall, 8 and 10 in conference. That was a heck of a coaching job with less time to put it all together than he has now. I'm not saying 17 wins will happen, not saying improvement can't. A few toxic personalities can ruin a team. Hopefully everyone going forward buys into "the program", whateverthat looks like this upcoming season. If so, there could be pleasant surprises ahead possibly, at least less of a disaster than some here seem to expect. |

How about three point shooters? We got any returners that can do that? Based on last year we don't have any outside shooters returning. We have a go to guy underneath? Well not really. I know you love tinkle. But this is year 9 not his first year. I try to look at tinkles coaching and recruiting realistically not with orange colored glasses. Have a nice evening. |

As stated MANY times CR's recruits allowed WT to have early success (which of course he's so adeptly built upon!). Depth, experience, and coach ability were very evident in those early teams. There was actual hope if any kind of sustained recruiting and development occurred. And, if there were truly enough toxicity to create a 3-28 season is it the recruits that are to blame? They were invited to accept a scholly for D1 hoops team. Who's responsibility is it to properly vet players? Other coaches/admin lied or hid how toxic these kids were? Or did they have issues that were exasperated by a toxic culture? Lastly comparing next season to anything remotely similar to WT's first (or 2nd) season is crazy talk. Do you know why? At least you're consistent and repeatedly use the same "excuses" vs inventing new ones. You're a WT supporter, and a OSU believe. I just wish you'd (and others) believe OSU deserves and can do better. You'd think this season would have evaporated all the previous excuses. But... |
