Las Vegas put Destiny on waivers and no one claimed her. So I think she is now a free agent.

She was a lock to be cut once the former GM was gone. They really needed a 3pt shooter but he drafted Destiny based on the game he saw her play against UConn as a freshman at Maryland. She did lose weight and increased her speed and defense, but she still needed either a screen or a pick to score. Goodwin was mocked to the Aces but the GM decided to draft his personal pet project instead. The WNBA is known as an entry level hire for GM's and coaches, but this guy was a real moron. Probably a drinking buddy of Davis the new owner. The WNBA does not have room for projects on their roster. The lack of 3pt shooting killed them all season, meanwhile the GM's pet project sat the bench. Yes it still ticks me off because Goodwin had a really good shot at making the Aces had she been on the roster.

Aleah Goodman, not Goodwin? Ironically I first had it as Goodman and changed it. Had a friend years ago named Goodwin and so I always got the names mixed up. Now it seems I can not even remember what my friends last name was. LOL.

Oh! Kat Tudor played her first game the other day for the Cogburn Cougar's in the Australian league and put up 27 pts.

Aleah Goodman, not Goodwin? It always floors me that someone could follow a player for 4 years and not be able to get her very simple name right. Good old Ali Goodwin 😖. My favorite right after Cindy Weiste.

Great news about Kat Tudor. I really enjoyed watching her play. She improved year after year. It was so unfortunate she did not take a redshirt year after she was injured. However, she wanted to do whatever she could do to help the team even to the detriment of her own personal accomplishments. Quite a dramatic difference than so many of the portal transfers!

There’s some highlight film floating around the inter webs of her debut game there. That gal can catch and shoot if she has the barest window to get a shot off. Impressive. Too bad she got shorted on her career here.

Speaking of Kat and Mik and Katie and other former Beavs, I've long admired Aleah's somewhat unusual decision to join the coaching ranks at such a young age, while many of her Very Good college teammates play all over the globe.
After all, unlike many of them, Aleah is IN the WNBA record book with 1 Gm / 3 min / 1 assist / 1 pf. She could dominate in the right world-ball scenario. Yet she chose to coach, and at a prestigious institution like Duke, no less. In 10 years she'll probably be a head coach at a D-1 school.

Ten years might be stretching things a bit.
