He just fouled out on a pop up to the catcher in his 2nd AB Monday, thus breaking his string of reaching base 9 consecutive plate appearances. BA lowers to .727. bummer.

His 5th plate appearance in the top of the 8th, and he rips a bases loaded triple in the RF corner. Now hitting .692 nice time for his first hit of the day!

So productive. He walked twice and scored twice. 0-2 at the time earlier today but still productive.
Then, he what? Hit a triple? Knocked in 3 runs in a late tight game.
So, he's 1-3. He walked twice. He scored twice. and he knocked 3 in?! That's beyond productive.

I know it was mentioned in another thread, but I just want to reiterate: If somebody had told me after Steven Kwan's freshman year that he would someday be on an opening-day MLB roster, I would have instantly dismissed them as a delusional idiot with zero grasp of the game. Thankfully, I usually reserve such comments just for myself....
Man, do I really love college baseball. Watching great players advance their skills (and not just their speed and strength) year after year and then even beyond their college days are long gone is just so cool to see. You don't see that in any other sport....
