Neither of these are a surprise.

Neither of these are a surprise. It's all a happy coincidence I'm sure.

Yea, there’s no way I can look at that picture and not feel sick I like seeing a smile on Taya’s face. As I said above, we got four exceptional years out of her. She owes Oregon State absolutely nothing.

Best wishes to Taya. I’m very happy for her at the same time I am concerned about the Beavers. Hopefully we can land a couple out of the portal that help us be super competitive in the PAC.

She owes Oregon State absolutely nothing. For sure - happy for her, and probably a great career move as well. I just don’t like seeing her in another uniform at the college level. That’s the nature having an emotional attachment to players on your team.

So far, meh!! Nothing to make us raise our eyebrows coming from the portal and I would think most of the plus players already have a new home. Beavs are very likely not going to get anyone that makes us say "WOW"! Could be another mid to lower PAC finish, sigh!! Getting old after the success of the last 6 years. Is it the portal? Or, is it the staff?? Or,??

They both wanted to play in a building that looked as similar to Gill as possible?

Good luck to her, a Duke graduate degree, if she stays long enough to get one, is a resume-filler. She'll be a solid complementary piece to their program, 9 ppg, 8 rpg, decent defense. Not a program-changer.
She had a fine career here. But I sort of expected more out of the Washington big-school POY, not someone who was probably the third or fourth player mentioned on the opposition's scout of us.

I wish the best for Taya. I've always thought Kennedy and Taya are very similar players. Taya's a better 3pt shooter. Kennedy is a bit taller and more of a defensive presence, and more of an inside threat, although Taya is a good defensive player. I'll be interested in how Duke plays them, but I also won't be paying attention except when they get ready to play the Beavs.

Taya poured five years of work and sweat into Beaver basketball, contributed through good defense, rebounding, and opportune scoring to many Beaver victories. She always played hard and represented OSU in a class manner. Thank you Taya!!!!!!!!!!!!! So did cate Reese for university ofArizona but Cate will stay on and help her team to get the leadership a young team needs!that’s the difference to me.taya knew from the fans supporting her we wanted her to stay. Didn’t the staff? That’s the question to me.

I’m sure the staff wanted a player that virtually never saw the bench back for another year.
Taya was in grad school at OSU for Kinesiology. To that end, I suspect getting a MS degree from a university that has a well respected medical school has some pull toward her career goals.

While Taya Corosdale was playing 35 minutes in the game vs. Baylor on 3/23/2018, in one of the greatest victories in OSU WBB history, Cate Reese was playing High School basketball in Cypress Texas.
