This is on track to be a horrific waste of a great pitching performance.

Cannot believe we lost this game on that stupid decision to send Fuchs in the seventh.

That is enough to make people to give up Baseball! I can't say Stanford deserved that win. But we sure blew up a great game by Cooper. Terrible!

What a total waste of one of the best performances ever by a Beaver. Fuchs should learn to run the bases . He should of scored easily. or maybe our 3rd base coach should make better judgement. A bad decision cost us the ballgame.

Great game. A little sloppy on offense, but amazing pitching! Both teams had a great pitching day.
We need to collect some cash for that dome. Our hitters don’t like the cold.

The out at the plate was on both. Fuchs hesitated, actually stepped back toward 2B assuming line drive had a chance to be caught. Wasn't even close to either player on the right side.
Gibson should have seen Fuchs reaction and known he had no jump. There was no reason to send him with one out.
Meckler's baserunning leaves a ton to be desired. On the steal attempt he had a tiny 3 foot lead and terrible jump. Although there was no hit, his lead at 2B with 2 outs was flat and again very short.
Tough night all around. Not sure anyone, including the coaches, thought one run would lose this game.

My assumption that wasn’t done against a quality teal like Stanford. Burke just said Smith had 17 K's against Portland. BodhisattvaMason Smith had 17 Ks against Portland back in 1994. Smith struck out 17 in a complete game. Smith gave up two unearned runs on three hits and no walks. At the time, Portland was a member of the Pac-10. Oregon State finished atop the Pac-10 North, and Portland finished at the bottom. Smith was selected in the 18th Round by the Blue Jays but only played two years in the minors. Smith outpitched teammate Mike Thurman in 1994, but Thurman was the one with the six-year stint in The Show.

As it turned out, Meckler would've brought him in anyway, and we still have runners on the corners with one in, and one out. It's a funny game. Hats off to both teams! Cooper was amazing, but Williams had all the right pitches when he needed to. Terrific game anyway, just a bummer we lost. Welcome to the PAC. Whoever wins it will likely have 10 losses. Get 'em tomorrow!

It's so crazy cool how can you not love it? Tonight was special, just the wrong result. When Verburg gets the W on Wednesday, yet Hjerpe gets the No Decision tonight, how can you not freakin' wait for tomorrow's game?

Get 'em tomorrow! It was close. Terrible throw up the line. Great speed on the throw but not very accurate. The catcher made a great play. Fuchs could have scored, if he had had a better jump or was a step or two fast or had done anything other than just getting tagged out. Sending Fuchs there was obviously the 100% wrong call. Let's beat the snot out of those SOBs tomorrow.
