The more I keep watching all the clips of this incident the more I admire Chris Rock for his restraint after being assaulted on live TV before millions of worldwide viewers for a stupid joke and the professionalism of him just keeping the broadcast on the rails.
Especially after Smith hollered loudly "Keep my wife's name out your F***IN MOUTH!" the second time short of not smacking him back right after it happened Rock could have lit him up saying "Oh HELLLL no YOU shut your f***in mouth you do NOT get to come up here and physically assault someone for a f***in joke ... Security? You get up here and escort this damn man out the building right NOW!"
haha of course imagine all the poopy pants that would have caused the ABC and Oscar folks for that even major disruption of the broadcast ... but the Academy is pursuing "disciplinary proceedings" against Smith and claims he was asked by them to leave the ceremony but he refused: www.cnn.com/2022/03/30/entertainment/academy-will-smith/index.html
