Gonzaga just beat Nebraska (and Jas Shelley, former uck) , Colorado lost , a bit surprising, next up at 2:30 Utah vs Arkansas (Sasha G.) , may or may not need an ESPN account to watch streaming: utahutes.com/sports/womens-basketball/scheduleI am mixing NCAA and WNIT here by the way. Tonight @ 7 there are several games, Arizona, Stanford, Univ of Portland, WSU and U of Zero play sat.

Disappointed by Colorado, but not exactly surprised. They play well at times but I've never really been a believer in them. Their supposedly good defense surrendered 84 points today.
At least Utah is off to a good start. Up 15-4 on Arkansas. The longer Coach Neighbors has been at Arkansas, the more it appears to me that Kelsey Plum made him look like a much better coach than he actually was. He has been mediocrity personified since moving, and he's had some talent there.

Utah up 44-27 at the half. Dicing up the Hogs and bombing away from 3.

Utah kinda struggling in the 2nd half. Chelsea Gray and whoever the other announcer are, just blatantly rooting for Arkansas. It is on ESPN, who is in bed w/ the SEC, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Holy cow! Arkansas had slowly whittled away at the lead and gotten within 11. Utah has gone on a tremendous run, stretched their lead to 30! Gylten is just destroying them, driving and dishing for open 3s or layups. Late in Q4.

Fun game to watch, unless you root for Arkansas, Utah with 15 made 3's, Dru Gylten, 11 assts, more than all of Arkansas , Utah wins, 92-69 . I forgot Utah has both Kemery Martin and Andrea Torres injured long term.

I'm thinking Neighbors is a great recruiter, but not a great game coach. I kind of rate Cori Close in that same class. Sasha had a poor game today, but a decent year. I still love her defense and leaping ability.
It's too little to judge by, but Destiny went there and didn't show any noticeable improvement. Didn't watch the season closely, but Sasha's numbers were similar to her OSU numbers. Wolfenbarger was a bit disappointing to me. I thought she was one of the best recruits in her class. If she would like to transfer to the Beavs, I'm all for it. Another star recruit, Eaton, didn't get a chance to show much either.
With all the young guards they have, I'm surprised Poffenbarger transferred there. My opinion, but it would be smart for one of them to transfer out.

Neighbors desperately needs a player like Osahor, but I think she was one of a kind. He hasn't had any kind of post presence the whole time he's been at Arkansas.

Portland up 20-10 over Colorado state 1st quarter. Scrappy with lots of defensive energy, pressing full court and creating havoc for Colorado State.

Some of the seeding was a little goofy. Poor VaTech as a 5 got stuck playing Fla Gulf Coast who was somehow only a 12. FGCU was 29-2 and ranked in the top 20 in the polls. And they make the tourney every year. Tech got beat by 3. Imagine earning a 5 seed and having to play a team like THAT lol. Good to see South Dakota beat an SEC team
