He had a rough time of it in the first game, apparently. Sure hope he doesn't plan on being a big complainer at the plate. Don't think it helps. |

Kmatz has pitched 5 complete and it has to be considered a successful outing. Only 2 runs, some well struck balls, but that is to be expected from his first game. Didn’t fall apart mentally when he gave up the HR.
All in all a very good outing (so far)

I like his fire and the drive which the team sorely lacked for a lot of last season, but the tantrums on the calls is not acceptable. This will bite the Beavers if it continues. |

On his pop out to CF, Dernedde was running, probably incorrectly, which led to him being doubled off at first. Meckler ripped his helmet off and was screaming while violently shaking his hands. Very angry. I get anger. I understand frustration. At this level, you can't act like that and potentially make a teammate look like s%#t because you are angry. Save the baby s%#t and be better. |
