The Cal players seemed to be happy to help with this , note they are all clapping in the background: and one of my fav pics of her and Rueck's mother, from before she actually arrived:

Just saw that OSU's nomination for Pac-12 player of the week for this week was Andrea. What a really cool gesture.

Well, she is shooting 1000% for her career, so you would think she would get nominated at least once. Actually, that is a very cool gesture, and I'll thrilled that the Beavs gave her this opportunity, while also saddened that she didn't get to play the game she loved.

That's a very nice, very good thing. I'm pleased OSU nominated Cal for it, and glad Cal won it. If you look down the list, back in 2007 the winner was Mitch Canham.

Ok, Aussies call them "fixtures" instead of games or matches, note that category on the left of their team page, here is today's match in the link below, but it is sat the 15th already in Australia. Adelaide, where her team is , is GMT + 9:30, Oregon is GMT -8 . Good luck with all that. I was able to watch a replay without any subscription and hopefully the live games are the same, although thanks to the time difference, the replays are easier to catch westadelaidebearcats.nbl1.com.au/watch

We never did learn the condition that prevented her from playing at Oregon State, correct?

The university apparently didn't want any liability. There's a player at University of Montana that went through the same ordeal at Arizona State and Washington State but is now playing for UM.

It may be the Australian legal system recognizes a more air-tight hold-harmless agreement. If Andrea, knowing fully her potential medical liabilities signs a hold-harmless document with her team, it's medical staff and the league - perhaps Australia provides zero recourse to bring any civil suit. And perhaps even in those circumstances, Andrea is willing to take that chance. Just a speculation on my part. I wish her good health first and foremost, a successful career second. I look forward to seeing clips of her dunking.

That doesn’t include the part where his family sued and settled with OSU. The thing is, Earnest wanted to play so bad, I’m not sure he would have agreed with his family’s lawsuit. He knew the risks.

I was about a year older than him and I remember hearing about this when it happened. Who would he compare to as far as style of play? Or did we just not see enough of him to know?
