I was there last night and for what's it worth here are my opinions of the loss. We have been coming down to Phoenix for about 5 years and decided to purchase a condo. I am from Eastern Oregon so this is my first game that I attended this year, but have been watching the game on TV. We lost for several reasons. First of all we let a guard score 33 points on us. Second we didn't make our foul shots. We had at least two offensive blocking fouls called on Mitrovic that we had easy layins. My personal observations are I like AJ and Greta alot and wish they were getting more playing time. Mitrovic had by far her best game and that is promising. TVO will be the best player in our history although she didn't have her best game last night, but she is very special. Adams I'm not sure about, but she has not been impressive and made several bad passes. I would like to see Scott turn these young pups loose and get more playing time.
A final observation. We turned down lots of open shots to run plays last night and I think that TVO wasn't turn loose to be the fantastic talent she is until later in the game. This is the 2nd time that I have seen the Beavs play in Tempe and the 2nd time SR was ejected.

I am trying to put the current season and the state of the program in context. We had a 6 season stretch 2014 -19 where we were probably the best program in the conference. Those years included 3 straight conference titles. We were a great program, but to be honest that was also a time when Arizona and Oregon were down and even Stanford was a bit down by their own standards. Now those programs have caught us and passed us by. It makes me sick saying this, but this will be the 5th straight season that Oregon will finish with a better conference record.
It is encouraging that the 22-recruiting class looks outstanding. The conference as a whole is recruiting at an all-time high. 11 McDonalds All-Americans in the 22 class. Is being just a good solid program the new normal or will we get back to being great? I am hopeful for the future, but also realistic knowing that it will not be easy to return to being a consistently elite program.

You may want to research Carol Menken and her achievements a little bit. Just sayin'.

Carol was before my time at least before I became a follower of the ladies program. TVO is very good right now and all Scott needs to do is design an offense to feature her and turn her loose during the game which is what I think he did late in the game. Syd, Jamie, Marie and Ruth are at the top of my list, but TVO will be there all 4 years (or 5).

TVO is a good ballplayer but I don't think she ends up GOAT. She has A LOT of work to do.....she's really not that athletic, or quick. She can't beat defenders off the dribble, and she throws up desperation shots often. Too many turnovers. She is gritty, and she does have the ability to take over games when she gets hot....
