8 games left - Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon twice, Stanford, Cal, Colorado, and Utah. Right now, there are plenty of teams in the top 25 with 4, 5, and even 6 losses. But the PAC 12 isn't getting much love this year, and we don't have a signature win.
My guess is we need to win 6 of the 8. That would catch people's attention, and also give us a good seeding in the PAC 12 tournament. We'd be 17-7 overall, 11-4 in conference.
Your thoughts?

There are still games to be made up. So that changes it. If we win 6 of the 8 you mention I can't see how we wouldn't make it. We might if we only win 5 depends on how others are doing and how we do in the Pac-12 tournament

What do we need to do to host home games in the big dance?

I sure hope 6 of 8 isn’t needed, as that would be a run well above where they are currently at. I’m guessing 3-5 gets them in, 4-4 safely in. 6-2 probably gets them into 5-6 seed range, as that wound mean at least two top 25 wins. Their NET is in the high 50s now, doesn’t yet include a sub 50 win over UCLA, and I suspect that drops below 50 even going 3-5 given the remaining schedule.
They don’t have a signature win, but they have two top 50 NET wins. Their worst loss is Villanova, a NET of 100, so that’s somewhat ugly but it was early and on the road. WSU is also a road loss and a NET in the 70s makes it a pretty respectable. So they lack games overall, but they should get enough in. Signature wins are nice, but the overall body of work should show they are a top 40 team by seasons end, and that should be enough for an 7-9 seed.

Did anybody listen to the post game presser? At the very end, SR made the comment that this team was going to be very good this year, with a quirky smile on his face. I love the Beavs. Big fan! But I have to admit I am a doubter on how good they will be as we close out the season. Personally, I'd probably be satisfied with a strong run in an NIT tournament. I will admit though, Number 1) the Beavs definitely came on strong last year, so it could happen again. Number 2) There has been a number of players in an early season shooting slump (Talia, Ellie, Emily) and there has been a lot of new parts to this team. If those players begin to break those slumps and the team gets used to playing together, maybe they will be very good....I'm just not as confident as SR. Talia does show signs of coming out of her shooting slump, and Ellie and Taya have both had some good games lately, so maybe some of the others will step up as well. I do hope SR is right.

We have got to find a way. No way this team would be happy with the WNIT. It would be a major disappointment.

Talia and Ellie both now look very comfortable with their offensive games. Ellie was shooting 42.2% for the year prior to today, so that's gone up another couple of points. Her slump, as well as Talia's, has been on 3's, where Talia was 33.0% and Ellie 25.0%. Don't recall Ellie trying one today, but Talia was great on them all weekend. They're both great free throw shooters also. Talia was 39/44 before today, and Ellie 16/17. Believe they were a combined 9/9 today.
Emily, however, is not in an 'early season' shooting slump. The season is 2/3 over, she's played in all 16 games, and has made but 15 baskets. I fear that waiting for her to make a significant offensive contribution would be like waiting for Godot.
With respect to Taya, I think that, since conference play started and Taylor went down, she's played the best basketball of her career, both ends of the floor. She's really stepped up.

Well things are definitely looking better now that we have a definitive leader----Talia took this team by the reins this weekend and showed that she can be that leader that we all hoped she would be. She has the ability to take over a game when needed, and also the wherewithall to get her teammates involved at the right times, and she plays good defense----a leader and a star in the making!

Prayer probably wouldn't hurt. That and some more make up games scheduled.
So we have to make up against ASU and ASU is making up a game this Tuesday at hole. Why was that scheduled? So who determines who to schedule. Is it between the schools to say they want to reschedule such and such date or does the Pac-12 arrange them?

One thing we have to do is not miss any more games! As it stands right now, we would end the season one game short of the 25 necessary to qualify for the NCAA tourney. It will take the first game of the Pac-12 to get to 25...what if it gets cancelled? We do need to make up games and the league is supposed to be handling that. We could all end up in Vegas a week early and play all the make-ups on a neutral court!

I believe there are only 4 days in between the final regular season game and the beginning of the PAC Tournament in Vegas.

Rueck said that "there had been conversations" with the pac-12 about making up a game. But that it had not been decided who and when yet. Conversations between whom?

The schools agreed upon several rules such as no games on consecutive days, no more than 3 games a week, 5 games in 2 weeks unless agreed upon by the school, etc. But from what I read on the pac12 site they are facilitating the games based on their criteria to get as many teams as possible into the ncaa tournament. Also a priority given to games where the schools only meet once.
