This game had highly talented players, but was nothing like a regular college game. This game was mostly a bunch of guards bringing the ball up the court and either heading straight to the basket, or passing to another ball handler who headed straight to the basket. If they didn't head straight for the basket, they shot the three, and on rare occasions, passed the ball to the post. Saying that, Rice is a star and Jaquez is good too. It will be really interesting to see how far Close can take this team. So far, she just can't make it to the top. Chance Gray looked great shooting the 3, but it won't be quite as easy in college. Van Slooten couldn't get anything to fall, but I expect she will be a very good college player.
I thought both Beavs showed well. They weren't going to spend much time passing inside to Raegan, and Raegan showed she's a hustler. I still think she is going to be a beast at the College level. She played the 4 spot much of this game, and I hope that is where she lands with the Beavs. Tamia is just smooth. Looks like the game is natural to her. Loved the turn around jumper in the 4th quarter. She has good speed, and I'm really curious to see if she could play the 3 in college. Offensively I think she would be fine, so it comes down to whether she could guard 3's that may be smaller, but quicker than her.

I forgot

Pac-12 had 11 of the 24 players on the Girl's McDonalds teams. Not surprising given that the Pac-12 had 5 of the top 6 womens recruiting classes for 2022: UCLA #1, Ducks #2, Beavers #3, (UConn #4), Stanford #5, and Arizona #6. In addition to the players Sparty mentioned for Beavers, Ducks, and UCLA, Stanford had 2 on the team (#1 rated 6-7 C Lauren Betts; and #20 rated Indya Nivar); Arizona had 2 also (#9 Maya Nnaji, and #21 Paris Clark), while USC had one (#8 rated Aaliyah Gayles).
To flush out the stats on our women, Raegan Beers started, played 16mins, 1-1 FG, 3-4 FTs, 5 pts. (as Sparty said), 5 rebs, 3 fouls, and 1 TO. Timea Gardiner played 15 mins, 2-4 FG, 0-1 3's, 4-4 FTs, 8 pts., 1 reb, 2 fouls, and 1 TO.
To second the motion, the 2 UCLA players are very impressive: Kiki Rice and Gabriela Jaquez (sister of Pac12 all-star).
A bit of a disappointment was Lauren Betts 6-7 Stanford signee who, despite a size advantage, could not buy a basket 1-8 FG with 3 TOs and no Assists. She did have 8 rebs and 2 blocks.

I would be careful to not read too much into a single all-star game performance. I have seen plenty of players who didn't do much in an all-star game but went onto have an excellent career and vice versa.
