I'm sure we had some prep before it was postponed, so it's good to have it sooner rather than later. Hope the strain of travel is not too much and our prep for USC is not too badly impacted. USC did not look good to me against UCLA... mainly due to a lack of discipline on offense.

Well the good thing is the USC game is at home so with a 1pm Weds. game in Pullman they should be able to get back home Weds. night and have a good practice Thurs. prepping for USC. The USC game Fri. at home is a must win for us and that should put us in a good frame of mind to tackle UCLA Sun.

I'll admit, I'm shocked about this one. I'm all for making these games up, but I never thought they would schedule a rough destination place mid-week. It's going to make it tougher to get ready for, and get rest before USC/UCLA. Not many other choices though if you want to get games in. I'm happy for a game, and hope it works out good for everyone. I also don't like that I struggle to get to see these mid-week games.

You just shrug your shoulders and deal with it - no excuses. Having had the covid shutdown, I imagine WSU hasn't been able to practice, so that's a plus for us.

Reminds me of a true story of a high school baseball team from the Portland area having to travel down to southern Oregon to have a playoff game.
The horror that they had to travel out of the metro area or valley. They went down there and they complained of the travel along with their parents. They got their butts kicked and were put back on the bus.
Btw, I have heard the same from fans from the California schools that there is no United terminal at the Corvallis Municipal Airport. Such an inconvenience for them.

If they were worrying about traveling out of their city for a state playoff game then they were worried about the wrong stuff and deserved to lose. Likely they just looking for an excuse in advance because they were facing a good opponent. I’m sure that kind of complaining work both ways.

Probably fly back immediately after the game.

UO, before the Noon game on Sun in Corvallis (then Stanford up next.). That’s a tough stretch. I will take a trip to Pullman for an afternoon game on Wed any day over that. My guess is that they will charter from Corvallis directly into Pullman, to make it very efficient for the players.

"USC did not look good to me against UCLA... mainly due to a lack of discipline on offense." Right on! I agree 100%. Don't know why Gottleib can't get those horses under control but, thus far, she hasn't.
USC has got 4 players any team in the PAC (except Stanford) would love to have. Rayah Marshall, Angel Jackson, Jordon Jenkins (who has really blossomed this year) and Alissa Pili. On paper, only a few teams in the PAC have 4 better players on their roster. When they get their act together - if they do - they will be tough, tough, tough. Maybe it's best for the Beavs to get them at Gill in January....It's a lot better than getting them in LA in late February...
Who knows, because, sadly, the Beavs aren't exactly at the top of their game either....
Long story short: USC has got some real players. If they have a real coach they are going to be a force in March. If not, they'll just be another talent-heavy USC team that under performs.... Whatever the case, I hope we slap 'em down Friday at Gill.... GO BEAVS!!

I have a hard time with the 'tired' excuse , I am more of a guy that believes that the closer the games are together - the better you will perform, because the game is one step better in preparation, than either a practice game or regular practice ! The changes in game plan can be 'discussion time'.

Yeah, they have a lot of talent, but they are mostly young talent that hasn't played together that much. Some of the Beavs talent is young, and some are new to the system, and they just are flowing well together as a team yet. Speaking of young talent, it seems USC has good young talent every year, and you think they will be really good in a year or two and them boom, it doesn't happen. We'll see if Gottleib can change that, but the Pac12 keeps getting tougher, so it won't be an easy task.

It'll take a bit for it all to gol. The earlier the better as far as playing them, plus in Gill!
