Beavs should be favored in both duals this weekend if Wrestlestat is to be believed.
Tonight vs UNC we'll see #14 Grant Willits vs #8 Andrew Alirez. UNC's other ranked wrestler is Clothier at 197.
Tomorrow vs Wyoming we should have some pretty competitive matches:
#17 Hunter Willits vs #14 Jacob Wright at 157, Olmos vs #12 Hastings at 174 #15 Munoz vs #17 Tate Samuelsen at 184. Munoz beat Samuelsen 3-2 last month. HWT #10 Gas Tank Gary vs #17 Brian Andrews. GTG beat Andrews at CKLV in December.
We lost to Wyoming 18-13 last season.
Overall, we've got some guys wrestling really well right now -
Kaylor has won 9 in a row Turner 8 in a row Grant Willits 9 in a row Olmos 7 of his last 8 Munoz now at 15-2 GTG 12 in a row

Thanks for that very informative update. Looks like recruiting and performance are both on a steep climb ! Yeah I think so. There are some recruits to be excited about for sure. We're definitely seeing some development on the mat which is awesome. Felt like we had a lot of guys pretty stagnant under the previous regime.

Totally agree . Wrestling is just not about strength and endurance. The mental piece is huge - as is Adrenalin. Seems that this new staff and the wrestlers are developing the full package !

Reyes to lead us off at 197. Tries a Granby, gets stuck.
Now JJ Dixon is wrestling and flo is calling them HWTs, and I'm extremely confused.

No idea why Traub isn't out there. That sucks.

Need everyone in the line-up. Not sure we have enough firepower to beat them, but we're getting closer. Unfortunately they probably still edge us at many of our better weight classes - 125/133/157/Heavy (assuming it's Schultz). Need someone in that group to break through. We've probably got the advantage at 141 and 184. 174 is probably a toss-up.

They only lose Valencia to graduation after this season, as well. The rest are all coming back. Gonna be tough for a while.

The marquee match-up was #6 Valencia vs #1 Wick, Wick dominated 9-1. Courtney, McGee, Teemer, Norfleet and Shultz were winners for ASU. Poly got wins from Saenz at 141, Wick 165, Kemp at 174 and Truax at 184.

I'd like to see Traub pull out some veteran trickeration against Schultz, get the W. If we can get 141,184 and HW, and maybe a win at 125 or or 157, that'd be great. It's gonna take tuff wrestling or mistakes by ASU.

All things equal and based on history - this is a 3-7 point win by ASU. OSU will need an upset to win the dual... IMO the best chances will come at 125, 149 or 197. I know Reyes just got pinned 2x, however Norfleet is always susceptible to an upset.
125 Kaylor vs Courtney - I can see an upset here- but a betting guy takes Courtney in a 1-2 point decision 133 Turner vs McGhee -McGhee has been on a tear lately - Devan will need to get his offense going and fend off McGhee 141 Grant beats whoever they put out there - however if its' the 4th guy they have been using we could pick up bonus here... maybe e pin. 149 Crooks vs Parco Crooks could pull the upset -but I think Parco in a close one. Crooks should have beat Bartlett who beat Parco. Not that 3 way results are the way to go 157 Willits vs Teemer - Willits will keep it close - but he hasn't been able to get past him. 165 -Olguin vs Valencia - We need Olguin to keep it to a decision - I am hoping he is healthy and he goes so that we don't have to bump Stigall 2 weights 174 - Olmos vs Coleman - Olmos by major here - We need a tech or a pin but I think Coleman keeps it to a major. 184 - Munoz vs Ortiz - Two MMA legends sons going at it - Munoz is going to pin him. 197 - Reyes vs Norfleet - This could be an upset - but then again.... HWT - Gas Tank vs Schultz - Schultz by decision... I don't see Gary being able to get the score he will need on the giant square... but he who doubts the gas tank....
if we can get an upset and Olmos and/or Willits can get more bonus - I got us winning 19-18... if not I got us down by 3-7 points.
Anyone got a take on the match results?

We've got some guys wrestling with confidence so that certainly helps our cause. Kaylor is 0-2 vs Courtney, but it's been 2 years since they've met H-T-H and Kaylor has improved a ton. I think it could be a great match. GTG just needed to get it into SV and he's got it in the bag.

True on GTG - If he gets to OT he may very well pull that off. I agree...get bonus...don't give up bonus.
