COACH Tinkle you seem to be a nice guy but it isn't working out. Please go talk to Scott Barnes today and arrange a buy out of your contract. Down the road people will remember you for the Final 8 not for your current 53-82 Pac 12 record. Please do the honorable thing. Thank you.

But, he better make some serious moves at the end of the year. I didn't mind him hitting the portal, but he's got to get better talent than he has. Rand has some potential, but the other 3 guys that are playing would barely see the floor on other Pac 12 teams. UW had 4 portal players that all were contributing and all 4 have a lot more talent than the guys we brought in.

Alitishe has very low bball IQ, freak athleticism, and really bad shooting form.
Can we only play him when we on Defense?

Other than his son and Stevie and Ethan is there any other recruit that made a difference? The obvious answer no. There are currently 3 players on the team that were recruited out of high school. He has tried the transfer portal route and unlike the huskies he flopped at that too. So in year 9 you are expecting something different? Good luck.

I’m in eastern time zone and stayed up to watch the game. Maybe it was the late hour, but Tinkle and this team have me at the point were I feel little emotion while watching the team. I get that these young men put a lot of time and effort into basketball and should be applauded for that, but when things inevitably start going bad each game I just can’t get upset anymore. About the only thing that will upset me is if Davis or Taylor transfer. There are other players I hope don’t leave, but those two would be back breakers if you ask me. Oh well, at least with the game cancellation I have more than a week before the next game.

So Ethan got us all the way to the Elite 8 by himself? Wow, that's impressive. You really like to harp on the HS recruiting, and yes, I would like to see more. But, this is a new era and there are several teams that are living off of transfers. We just didn't get very good ones this year (other than Davis and potentially Rand) He's not going anywhere this year, so you're are still wasting your breath.

You take Ethan off last years team and you end up with a record like this year's team.

He just shouldn't be shooting anything outside of 8 feet. You are right. He CAN score down low...50% last year, 55% this year, so that's trending in a great direction. And he's shooting 40% from 3-land this year!!!! He should be our go-to long range bomber. /s But his low post game is average and when he does miss, he's likely to pick up a frustration foul. Horrendous FT shooter, so opponents can apply the hack-a-shaq strategy when needed. He's a prototypical garbage man. Dennis Rodman-esque. Cleans up misses, grabs boards, finishes on fast breaks. A beast on D that can guard positions 1-5. All of these are great assets, but he's a long ways from being a guy that you want to run the Offense through on a consistent basis. Seems to me that he's struggling mentally and he's regressed from last year. And that's our problem offensively. We severely miss Ethan and don't have anyone that has his combination of inside/outside game. Jared is a one trick pony. Davis is great in a drive and dish role. Calloo is inconsistent and a liability on D. We are a hot mess.

Coincidentally, the player receiving the pass either missed the shot or dropped the pass. Calloo is the mystery this year. I know he's been dinged up, but he doesn't look like he's into the game on the floor. And when your main attribute is hitting 3's and your 6 for your last 30 or so, that doesn't work. While undersized, I would like to see WT give Johnson more minutes over Calloo when he takes Alatishe out. At least he plays with some effort on the defensive end and rebounds.

Glenn Taylor continues to impress … He is always around the ball, and, if he makes a mistake - he immediately cleans it up !

Agreed - something I am also nervous about. Lot’s of risk in this portal deal ( current athlete, coaches and school, and new school ). Seems like it’s more ‘transfers in ‘ than ‘transfers out’ that create a players interest and opportunity. In other words, each player looking for best opening and increased playing time ! But, everything can change in a heartbeat ! Say Jared wants to go somewhere that a key shooting guard has just departed. He signs and moves , only to find out that they are going after another guard to play in front of him . That would suck - and he would have been better staying at OSU …. too late.

How about we actually run a real offense? We stand around vs man to man D more than any team I've seen this year. One guy dribbles, one tries to set some screen...and.....
