UCLA had so many layups I am surprised they didn't shoot 100% ! Sad to not make any adjustment !

53 - 80 in pac12 play. Easily hit 100 losses by this time next year. Unfortunately there is at least one more year. 53-81 with the loss in conference play. But Tinkle is moving quickly up the overall loss ranks at OSU as well. With the loss he's at 122 losses and has achieved that mark in only 7.5 seasons. Tinkle is only 64 losses behind Ralph Miller. Miller took 19 seasons to reach that level. Tinkle is sure to get there much quicker.
The perfect coach for OSU.

Weed MIGHT be legal, en vogue, helpful (for some….. maybe many)…… but…… c’mon, man! Does anyone HONESTLY BELIEVE it IMPROVES memory??? I didn’t think so. Walton has a pure heart, funny, UNIQUE? Oh hellya Weed most definitely improves your...your...uhm....... Wait. What were we talking about?

Here is how uninteresting, unenjoyable, uninspiring, unexciting, depressing mens beaver basketball is. I can't even throw out a comment disparaging Coach Tinkle and get even one defender to bite and defend the status quo. A few weeks ago there would have been at least a couple.

Two things did it for me. Gianni leaving basketball makes me skeptical. I know we don’t have the full story, but obviously things are not right in Corvallis. On the court, the USC game was underwhelming. To lead most of the game and then let USC take control in the final minutes was disheartening to watch. The players looked incapable of making a stop or a play and they lost confidence so quickly. A month ‘til baseball starts. I can wait.

Gianni leaving for personal mental health reasons makes you skeptical of the coaching? That’s weird

I spent a lot of time with Gianni at the Tip-off Dinner, he was really excited for the season to start. Fast forward a few games and G’s minutes are being taken by Dashawn and MHO says this was the start of the mental issues. Now I may be wrong but Gianni losing PT was the root cause for him quitting his team.

Well with Gianni gone and I'm guessing forever the roster is down to three players that were recruited as high school players. That is really bad. And yes that's on the coaches.

Gianni leaving for personal mental health reasons makes you skeptical of the coaching? That’s weird Could have nothing to do with the coaching. Could have nothing to do with the state of the program. Could be that he is happy with the program and it’s just a girl or a family problem. Could be. I would hope that the coach and the team would be the support for any young man going through such troubles. The team would be where he could fit in and feel at home. So I’m skeptical. I could be very wrong, but either way, I’m not happy with the message that it sends.

To me, though, the public announcement of walking away from basketball indefinitely sits wrong. He's not simply sitting on the bench while working through his problems. He's not being placed on an injured list or anything like that. He is walking away from the sport indefinitely as a talented competitor. Was this the only way to handle the situation? Was this the best way to handle the situation for the young man? Was it necessary to draw attention to his struggles? Couldn't he have been nursed to health while remaining with the team? Couldn't coach have found a better path for him?
