Recruited by almost no one...becomes an All-American. Drafter in the 7th round is now an All-Pro.
One of my favorite Beavers ever.

Is he the most accomplished Beaver in the NFL? Maybe Johnny Hecker was All-Pro? Chad Johnson? I don't think Steven Jackson ever reached that level, though he had a great career. Derek Anderson slid into the Pro Bowl one year...

Derek Anderson slid into the Pro Bowl one year... Depends on how you define the term "accomplished," but my from-the-hip response is, "No." I believe that the definitive list of First Team All-Pro Oregon State players is: Jules "Zuck" Carlson 1932 Paul Lowe 1960, 1965 Chad Ochocinco Johnson 2004-2006 John "Johnny" Hekker 2013, 2015-2017 Jordan Poyer 2021
Steven Jackson was Second Team All-Pro twice and made three Pro Bowls.
Derek Anderson slid into the Pro Bowl in 2008 after Tom Brady opted out. (Tom Brady has been selected to a Pro Bowl 15 times but has not actually played in a Pro Bowl since 2005, citing random injuries every year since. Derek Anderson more recently played in a Pro Bowl than Tom Brady.)

I do. She's like the Kardashians......too fakey for me. Plus... what does she "really" look like. All the makeup and posed pix are super deceiving. Happened to see a former pop star in my younger years walking on Rodeo. Would have NEVER known it was her without a passerby yelling out. Unrecognizable.

Poyer has a legitimate shot at a Super Bowl ring, this year. All Pro, and SB champ = ahelluva year.

In which case, they just have to sneak by the Bengals in Orchard Park. But, go KC! If KC wins, that clinches a Beaver in the AFC Championship Game.

Oregon State graduates with 10+ season NFL careers: Vic "Old Smoothie" Sears 1941-1953 Loris "Sam" Baker 1953-1970 Aaron Thomas 1961-1970 Bob Grim 1967-1977 Rockne "Rocky" Freitas 1968-1978 William "Skip" Vanderbundt 1968-1978 Darrick Brilz 1987-1998 Robb Thomas 1989-1998 Reggie Tongue 1996-2005 Chad Ochocinco Johnson 2001-2012 T.J.
