I know no one likes to use the c word (choke). But man we have lost every close game we’ve been in this year haven’t we? And blowing a point blank uncontested layin at the buzzer sure doesn’t help

Really tough loss. Just a gut punch.

Missed a layup at the buzzer, ouch.
3-11, Pac-12 tournament is only hope for another dance.

Our “spunk” needs to be coupled with rebounding. Schmucks outboard the Beavs by 10, and had a 17-6 offensive rebounding advantage. Game.

Great game....like our spunk Great game? You a duck fan? You don't get a blue ribbon or a trophy for having spunk. The only thing that matters is did you score more than the other team. We freaking lost....again.

Missed a layup at the buzzer, ouch. 3-11, Pac-12 tournament is only hope for another dance. Why not just quickly stuff the ball instead of a panicked shot that bricked from a foot away?

Beavers got hosed tonight, thanks to the Pac-12 . Rescheduling this game for a Monday night, up against a huge National TV event was something OSU should have never agreed to. Not only giving up a sell-out crowd, probably the only one of the year and definite home court advantage, OSU handed the ducks a road win. Do I think oregon would have agreed to do the same thing, if the shoe was on the other foot? Not a Chance. Dana Altman is no dummy.

We freaking lost....again. Actually it was a good game to watch. We could have folded when we were down by nine but rallied to tie it late and just came up short. Lucas had an off night but Davis and Alatishe played solid and Silva played a good second half. Taylor played pretty solid as well.....we need to get better on the defensive boards

That ending was just brutal. Lucas was ICE cold and we still had a point blank uncontested shot with less than a second to win. Good thing I've learned to take tough losses in stride.

That one hurts, but it is not in any way solely on Warith missing that lay-in at the end. He played a great game and is one of the reasons we had a chance at the end. If he dunks it there's a good chance he doesn't get it off before time runs out too. As has been our Achilles Heel all season long, poor shooting from outside and allowing too many offensive boards was the difference. There were a couple (maybe more...) hose jobs from the officiating crew (seriously, not one flop call against them when they were throwing themselves on the ground and then the crew calls one on Lucas when his arm was hit?), but in the end that game was there for the taking and the same issues kept us from taking advantage. I get that we're in a zone much of the time, I get that we're down our 2nd best rebounder cause of injury, but that doesn't excuse getting beat on the glass so much. When the opposing team gets a near 50/50 shot at a 2nd chance after every missed shot you aren't going to win many games. I like that we have been taking care of the ball better, I attribute a lot of that to Davis emerging as a very good PG, and this has contributed to better showings the last 3 games. It's disappointing that the start to the season was so poor, because the way this team has played the last three games, it would be a really fun team and season to watch unfold had we taken care of business early on. Unfortunately, we killed all post-season hopes sans a conference tourney run again, so hopefully we can keep making strides to at least give us something to look forward to and root for in Vegas two months from now.
EDIT: Also, I know the crowd was smaller tonight due to it being a rescheduled, short notice Monday night game, but hats off to the Beavs in attendance tonight. That was an electric atmosphere for a 50ish% capacity crowd. 5,000 sounded like 10,000 a lot of the night and absolutely contributed to the comeback to tie the game multiple times.

Taylor played pretty solid as well.....we need to get better on the defensive boards Lucas had a terrible game. Silva missed more than a third of the second half with foul trouble. And yet, Oregon State only lost by two. In 2021, Oregon State dropped the Civil War game in Corvallis by 13. And then won six straight.
