Unless something weird happens between now and then, Sean Mannion will (rather than might) start against the Packers. Sean Mannion's first real start with a full roster of first teamers. (His first two starts were the season-enders at the Coliseum in 2017 and at U.S. Bank Stadium in 2019.) This will be his first chance to start with a full first team roster. There isn't really a bigger stage for your first true start than at Lambeau against the NFL's best team.

And don’t forget the fact that your team’s playoff chances are on the line as well.
Skol Sean!!

No pressure. In Green Bay. At Lambeau. Vikings Have to win. It's colder than a well diggers ass. Legends are MADE of this. Go Sean!

Green Bay looks like the Varsity, Minnesota the JV team. Can't disagree with trying to establish the run game, but the Vikes being completely dominated.

It's very difficult to watch. Mannion has NO chance. I'm NOT making excuses for him. IF he was good enough to be a starter in the league, he would have been one by now. He's a smart, serviceable back-up QB. He simply has NO chance of being successful with this line, with this receiving corp, in this environment tonight. He's a big boy, but I do feel for him. I'm sure it is MORE than a pay check to him.

Vikings game plan is stupid. They have to win this game and they are playing just not to get blown out. I might lose 100 - 0 but I would die trying. Give Sean a chance

Pretty sure sean is capable of throwing farther than 8 yards downfield. Maybe the Viking OC should try to win.

OL not giving Sean a lot of time… and he’s Mr Checkdown…. Always has been…. Wow. He averaged 11.5 yards per completion at OSU. I did not realize that Brandin Cooks, Marcus Wheaton, Victor Bolden and Jordan Villamin, the leading receivers (by a wide margin) in Mannion's years were checkdown receivers. Canfield was Mr. Checkdown. Mannion outrushed Dalvon Cook 14-13.

Pretty rough game to watch … the play calling, as well as the lackadaisical effort from the Viking offense was almost sleep inducing ! Mansion seemed upset with the lack of support he was getting, either from the sideline or the RB’s and Receivers ! The head coach looked like he was walking the plank in the middle of the ocean ! Shakeups coming. for sure !

Mansion seemed upset with the lack of support he was getting, either from the sideline or the RB’s and Receivers ! The head coach looked like he was walking the plank in the middle of the ocean ! Shakeups coming. for sure ! Yep, Zimmer is a dead man walking. Kirk (I don't need no stinking shot) Cousins made sure of that. Sean always lands on a franchise with an overpaid bust of a QB ahead of him. See Goff, Jared and Cousins, Kirk. Coaches are obligated to play the fraud at the risk of losing their job which happens anyway (see Fisher, Jeff and soon Zimmer, Mike) I predict Eric Bieniemy will get the job in Minnesota and hopefully he will clean house. Keep Sean and rookie Mond and send Kirk and his millions packing. The team will be better off without him. The guy has won exactly one playoff game in his storied career. Vikings were 13-3 and in the NFC championship game before that fraud slithered into town. Just ramblings from a long suffering Beaver/Viking fan.........
