We shot the ball well most of the game and that was a big part of our success on offense tonight, but I LOVED the turnover differential tonight. +12 in our favor. It makes it a lot easier to win when you keep your TOs in single digits and force 20 on your opponent. Rebounding is still a question mark, but probably will be all year long. Jarod seems to have gotten hot of late and no matter who's on him he's been creating space for a shot. Sac State next and then the Civil War before we hit the road again. Still a long way to go in this season. The harder the shot, the higher percentage Jarod shoots. He made two tonight where he had no angle behind the backboard.

It probably is only a 3-4 team bid year. There’s a sizable drop off after the top 3. However, if we play like tonight, we probably would be 10-3 instead of 3-10. These last two games have been much more like what I thought we'd see from these guys this year. Makes you wonder WTH was going on the first 11 games. They’re finally playing together and Davis is playing solid. It’s nice to have a solid PG that can distribute. He’s not the shooter Ethan was, but he’s quicker and a better passer.

Oregon State has only played one team with a losing record on the season and won that game. Iowa State is still undefeated. Samford just beat Ole Miss in Oxford. Princeton has the win over South Carolina in Asheville. Wake has a huge win over Virginia Tech (by 19) in Blacksburg and the win over Northwestern. Arizona has the wins over Illinois and Michigan. A&M has wins over Butler and Notre Dame. UC Davis has the season opening win over Utah State in Logan. I note that Gianni Hunt has not played since the Arizona game, and the team has looked much better since. Roman Silva keeps looking more and more healthy. Today's game was the first time that he has played more than 17 minutes on the season. Silva had his season-most points and rebounds. Silva is the only real center that Oregon State has, and we need every minute out of him that we can squeeze. And when Silva gets going, it opens up room for Alatishe to shine. And when those two are rocking and rolling, it gives Lucas more space on the perimeter. Lucas has looked a lot more like the end-of-the-year Lucas the last three games.

Malone-Key was showing some flashes as well the last couple games. Gianni will probably work his way back into the mix if/when he comes back as well.
I agree with the above comments about Davis' passing ability too. It was nice to see him drive the lane a couple times and have the awareness to know where his guys are and drop a pass right in their lap for an easy shot or bucket.

It looked like Silva tweaked his knee late in the game but he came back out and played some more after getting a break. I agree that we need Silva to help our team....he’s still fairly slow but that body size creates issues for other teams and he’s doing a good job fighting for rebounds.....Plus he got one nice jam and one sorta ugly jam but they were fun to watch

Well, that’s two steps forward. If we lost ten in a row, maybe we can win ten in a row….

Silva did a good job on defense tonight. He had a couple of dumb fouls but overall altered shots without fouling similar to to last postseason's run. A healthy Silva elevates this team on both ends of the court. Good to see him moving better, as without Andela, he's it.

Well, that’s two steps forward. If we lost ten in a row, maybe we can win ten in a row…. Oregon State's longest winning streak in the past 30 years is seven games: 1992-93 and 2019. The last time that Oregon State had a longer winning streak than seven games was 1989-90, Gary Payton's senior year. The Beavers started the conference slate 8-0 (as a part of a 10-game winning streak) en route to a Pac-10 Regular Season Championship and and 22-4 overall start. Then, things went sideways in a hurry.

Not one, but two monster dunks from the big fella! Loved seeing that. I thought Silva had a great game. Hate to see him hobbled, but a great effort from him. Get some ice on those knees.
Good team win. Lots of potential on this roster. Hope they can build on this.

Wasn’t able to watch the game, but looking at the box score the things that stood out for me:
1. 11 steals and only 8 turnovers 2. Great shooting from 3, but they didn’t fall in love with it, taking only 12 3. Davis continues to develop and had a stat stuffer type game 4. 3 blocks by Silva 5. Didn’t look like Williams added too much to team. But I’m actually encouraged by fact he only took one shot. Hopefully he’s looking for other ways to positively impact game.
Nice win for Beavers.

Williams plays to give them another ball handler. But, he’s not giving them much else. Hunt will take his minutes when he’s back.

Likely won’t even take Hunt’s return to cut his time being that in previous 2 games Williams had lost time to Malone-Key. Speaking of Hunt, any news if his absence is still Covid related or something else? Been out since 12/5 Arizona game — and only played 9 minutes in that contest.

Hunts not out from Covid, they are calling his absence out for personal reasons.
