Too bad Miami backed out due to the vid. Wanted to see Crystal Balls coach take a loss. Even with the current Miami talent he would have wasted it game time. WSU says they will play anyone.
Posted it here because the board has been slow if that is okay.

Posted it here because the board has been slow if that is okay. East Carolina, Memphis and SMU each had their opponents cancel. It is possible that one could play Wazzu. SMU would seem to make the most sense, but Sonny Dykes is already at TCU. If SMU accepted, I believe SMU's head coach would be interim head coach and former Colorado/Oregon Defensive Coordinator, Jim Leavitt. East Carolina and Memphis have indicated that they are unlikely to accept a Sun Bowl invite. Boise State withdrew from the somewhat controversial Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl. Central Michigan just landed in Tucson yesterday. They might fly the 266 miles to El Paso to play Washington State. I would feel very cheated, if I was in El Paso waiting for Miami and Central Michigan showed up. If Central Michigan does not travel to El Paso, the next-highest 5-7 APR team is California. The one behind California is Texas and then Illinois. Illinois previously indicated an interest to play in Jacksonville. I am uncertain, if they would be as excited to play in El Paso. The Sun Bowl is the only CBS Bowl game, so they do not have Disney's weight behind them to make something happen. But Central Michigan would have to be ecstatic to be out of the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl (the only bowl game that is not televised on a major network) and in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl (on CBS). |

Looks like Central Michigan might get to move to the Sun Bowl due to Boise State failing to field a team for the Arizona Bowl.

Ummm. No. Lived there while dad was stationed at Ft Bliss.
Which might be the highlight of tours on bowl trip there… lol
Don’t get me wrong…. The organizers put on a good gig….
But it’s still desert.
PS… I was at both OSU games there…. Missouri was ok…. Pitt was brutal.

I like that Central Michigan team. Disclipined and play hard. Pattern in how to develop players into a good football team. Anyone else impressed?

CMU made out like a bandit. Better opponent, bigger payout, national exposure on CBS instead of some streaming network, and a nice victory for the MAC.
