Gotta have the bodies to work the concessions to make the lines shorter. Again, when you have many hired employees not show up for work who were supposed to show up...you have no options. Every business in the country is dealing with the labor issue. Now...can osu help by bringing portable restrooms, that is a good option.

I got an idea get rid of qdoba and put in multiple concessions that sell popcorn, hotdogs, coffee, etc..the things people really want. .And then there are the bathrooms which take no labor. The long lines have been around long before the pandemic.

Regarding next year as measly as the "crowds" were this last year lines for the bathrooms and concessions were ridiculously long. Since the west side will be gone I hope they are making arrangements to improve concessions and bathrooms on the east side for the one year and also for years to come. They won’t. It’s the OSU marketing machine way!

I sit on the East side and had absolutely no problems with concession or rest room lines this season. And very little wait time entering the stadium though the south end zone.
And if the lines are long at Qdoba, doesn't that indicate people want Qdoba?
This was not a normal year. It was very hard for the university and for concessionaires to find enough people to work. I hope Covid will be a thing of the past next year and those situations will not repeat themselves.

I also sit on the Eastside not far from the Qdoba concession. Unless you want to walk to the other end of the stadium where you can buy popcorn or hot dogs you have no other option except for Qdoba so no I don't think it's because Qdoba is in great demand. Aside from that the east side for this next year is going to have all those from the west side. I am hoping but doubtful the athletic department has considered the extra demand on concessions and restrooms.

Or maybe some see a potential problem that may have not been addressed by those that are in charge.

Or maybe some see a potential problem that may have not been addressed by those that are in charge. They have tried and tried to hire more people. They had numerous people not show up. What do you suggest they do?

Unlike when the East side was originally built and we had 40K+ for EVERY game. In fact, I USED to believe that the speed of the East side concessions were one of the best things about game day. Honestly, it seems I haven't had that feeling that concession lines were a breeze since the GAG era started. Maybe that's because people decided that standing in a concession line for 20 minutes was better than watching what was happening on the field. I've never had problems with bathroom lines, but maybe that's because I can go 4 hours without needing to pee.

Prior to the pandemic there were long lines at both concessions and restrooms. It just seems there should be multiple smaller stands that sell typical foods like popcorn, hot dogs. Take some of those that are working in the concession stand at the opposite end from Qdoba and use those employees at smaller concessions. As far as restrooms I think there was a complete underbuild of them on the Eastside. Hope they don't make the same error on the westside. And that was before they sold beer.

It's true that it wasn't just this year that concession lines got bad, but for the first 10 years or so of the "new" East side, the lines were actually pretty great. I don't know what changed the concessions from a positive to a negative issue, even with 75% of the crowd we used to get 2005-2014. Was it the beer sales? The elimination of a couple of the concession stands to put in "other" stuff (apparel store)? I don't know. All I can say is that lines used to be a breeze with a sold out stadium, and they've been bad for a couple of years now with a 75% full stadium.
