One nice thing about when we complete the Reser project - When finished, the oldest part of Reser will be newer than the newest part of Autzen. About 40% of Autzen is still the original 1967 earth berm construction.
Except their second indoor practice facility will be newer than our newest stadium side. Did you see they are getting a second indoor facility more or less donated for free?

Whoopty-do for them. It looks like a convex toilet.

Everything that can be salvaged (metal bleachers/seatbacks, railings, chairback seats, press box fixtures and glass, metal siding on the back of the grandstand, rest-room plumbing fixtures, etc.) will be removed before the implosion. Then after they bring it down they'll just have to pick up the concrete chunks and send it off to a landfill or whatever they do with that stuff these days. They have ways to recycle the concrete. I’d be interested to hear from our construction experts on that.

Are they going to be selling any of the extra chairback seats?

While 40% of the berm is still part of Autzen all of Autzen is still built on a landfill. The stench will always be there.

They’ll most likely crush it into 1”-0 aggregate base to use as a base, backfill, etc. It will be a bitch though because there’s going to be a ton a rebar to deal with. Lots of work cutting before processing, rips belts, ends up in final product even though there will be magnets on the conveyors. But with the price of base rock and trucking now it still pencils out.

They announced today that next year’s capacity will be 27K Well, the good news is we should be able to sellout the stadium for EVERY home game next year. It's very likely the ticket prices get bumped up too, idk. I'm on the side not being imploded so I'm guessing my season ticket location is safe for 2022. I'm just a wiseguy, I'm not necessarily wise.

They announced today that next year’s capacity will be 27K Any info on limits to student attendance? No, but I would assume they would limit them to just the sideline and leave the end zone to the general public. However, it may just vary based on demand. There were not many season ticket holders left on the west side that need to be moved.

Not enough to keep their HC from flying the coop.

Who was the first to have a football building...osu. Does any of this really matter? Each school has its own agenda and what they think they need to compete. I'm just fine the way we(osu) conducts its business. Fancy facilities and flash doesn't guarantee success. Ask Utah if they would trade teams....

Regarding next year as measly as the "crowds" were this last year lines for the bathrooms and concessions were ridiculously long. Since the west side will be gone I hope they are making arrangements to improve concessions and bathrooms on the east side for the one year and also for years to come.
