Just when I think I couldn’t hate the Ducks any more, they find a way to turn it into MMA and make me hate them even more. Sad! Brother, did you see T Harrison’s actions? That was uncalled for!! Period. Harrison should be benched! Agree. But in his defense, the bastards in green were ganging up on the other Beaver. Not fair. And everybody knew that there was never going to be a call against the Ducks alone.

1 Stanford Sucks 2 ASU had lots of injuires 3 Both those were at home 4 our opponent today was neither 1 nor 2 Our opponent today was deservedly a top 25 team. Not #3 or 4, but definitely top 25. I’m OK with Bray coming back. Bray did okay, despite the stats. This is probably first game we have played that really actually exposed the vast talent disparity. Our DL was getting smoked all game long. there is no scheming out of that one. The Oregon OL ate our lunch all day long. Brown also played his best game of the season, from what I saw. Not just that we made it easy for him, but he was dealing that ball into tight windows when he had to, was decisive and made the right call about 95% of the time on the read options.

Did we get pressure on Brown in the pocket the entire game, I saw none. Their Oline dominated our defensive line, they ran easily and Brown felt no pressure. I have said this since before the season our Defensive Line is our weakest position group. No edge pressure, no interior pressure, way too many plays where they got gashed with huge rushing lanes. Game was lost right there.

Still can’t do that crap. In a perfect world, there’s no need. But I agree. I’d like Smith to hold the guys to a higher standard.

Still can’t do that crap. True, but what you can do apparently is head-hunt the guy, go helmet-to-helmet on him, then openly taunt him after the play with no consequences. So I can imagine he may be confused regarding what behavior is allowable and what isn’t.

My perception was that we were doing a good job getting pressure in the late first quarter (maybe?), and Oregon changed something and we never were able to counter-adjust to get pressure again.

We should be teaching the guys that, of course, the penalties will all go against us in Autzen. Of course, we won’t get a fair shake. But we don’t give the refs anything extra.

As in knock our own players down? Yeah, I think we had a few.

This game, as frustrating as it was, was still so much better than 2008 when the Roses were on the line.
Good job Beavs, mounting a rally to try to come back!

I'm cool with Smith making Bray the regular DC, but they absolutely have to beef up the defensive line as much as possible. IMO it was glossed over during the last offseason and they have paid the price.
