Beavs are going to have to bring their A game to win this one. Definitely need a pass rush. Don’t get me wrong, the Utes aren’t world beaters like Purdue is, but they look pretty good. Maybe on par with the Boilermaker practice squad.

I think they also found their QB in Cam. Yeah. Gonna be really tough.

I was impressed with their adjustments at halftime. They were down 21-7. It appeared ASU would route them. They stoppedASU in second half and physically took over. We will be playing the best coached team we have faced. I do not know if we have the Will to outwill them. If we do than it will be one hell of a battle.

They have an identity that they stick with and are well coached in all three areas especially special teams. They steal wins with special teams play. Going to take the beavers best effort and no mistakes

What will be the bigger factor in this game?
1) Tibesar creating a defensive scheme that will actually work for 60 mins or; 2) Nolan figuring out how to throw the ball consistently again.

Nolan needs to have a good to great game for the Beavs to win. No picks and several 3rd down conversion throws, would be key. He played against them last year, so maybe he'll be ready for their defensive pressure. I was at Reser in 2019 for Utah. Bad memory. They shut down everything Beavs tried to do and ran the ball down our throats. Are they beatable? Yes, but Nolan and the Beavs are going to have to earn it.

And the receivers getting at least a bit of separation from the Utah defense.

We should have beat them last year, still convinced that Nolan scores on our final play if he'd kept it and ran. Our turnovers plus the blown kick coverage gift wrapped the game to them. Jefferson was out and Baylor got hurt early - had either played we'd have won.

Well... it was a 30-10 game and OSU managed to get 5 possessions in the 4th qtr... only 4 the entire 1st half! No drive longer than 4:03, average drive was 2:01!!
4th qtr:
Begins with OSU essentially in the game, 23-10, ball 3rd & 9 @osu 21... incomplete... punt return for TD... 30-10.
Then... we play:
TD (2:41) 8 plays/65 yds Punt (1:50) 3 / -9 TD (2:11) 9 / 61 Downs (1:07) 6 / 25 Downs (0:55) 8 / 39
*181 yds of OSU's 335 came in the 4th.
The game was marred by some terrible play calling. Especially late in the game on the 4th & 1 run to Tyler after getting huge stop on downs and a Ute PF call.
Add the 3rd down defense the first 3+ qtrs...SURPRISE! But, to "their" credit (Tibs, players) later in the 4th the D was nails!
OSU was gifted 7 of their 22 1st downs by penalty. Utes had zero by penalty, but 7/15 on 3rd down conversions (OSU 2/12), 5/5 in the red zone, +11:30 TOP.
OSU tossed the game away the 1st three qtrs.
Can't happen this week. Need: - TOP to be even or close; - meaning 3rd down conversions must improve on both sides of the ball; - no wasted possessions and sustain drives with a mixture of plays.
OSU seems very predictable and is Lindsay the only WR that can run a jet sweep? Seems to disappear from the offense at times as to our supposed weapons at TE.
Nut cutting time boys. Join the upper echelon of the Pac12 Saturday and stay a while!

Beavs are "only" 3.5 point dogs right now. Seems like Vegas is giving us more respect than some of the posters here. Wins in this conference are not easy.....but we knew that already.
Lets Go Beavs!!!!!

Lets Go Beavs!!!!! I wish "respect" had anything to do with it. Lines are set to make money in terms of how bettors will lay out their cash. OSU respect or Utah disrespect after a great win over top rival in the south? It'll be very interesting to see one team refreshed after two weeks off with time to get healthy and game plan. Versus one coming off tough emotional win 7 days prior. Weather plays a factor if it's nasty of course. But, I'm basically looking at this game as a telltale factor of what prep and adjustments were made and communicated, taught, and executed. No excuses... OSU should be primed for a great effort in their play and improved, consistent execution.

It's the Pac 12.....expect the unexpected
