Watching Stanford manhandle Wazzu just makes last week's loss even more painful. WSU not a good team, yet we make them look like world beaters in second half. Stanford's defense is suffocating DeLaura..... maybe they just have a bigger, faster defense than ours...but their schemes also look set up for better match ups.

One thing that didn’t help us last week was that Roberts wasn’t moving laterally well. Now to sure what his issue was but it was mentioned on the radio broadcast that he wasn’t moving well outside of straight ahead multiple times. That surely didn’t make a huge difference overall, but having him dinged going into a bye week is good timing..

Use three down linemen consistently with a left or right shift (must have really confused Wazzus line - sarcasm) and an occasional linebacker on the rush. |

Always best to wait until late in the 3rd quarter to make posts like this. Didn’t age well in the first half…it may still end up on point, but right now… True.....and in hindsight I guess we even STARTED strongly against the Cougs, then stagnated....as Stanford appears to be now. Although I was mainly commenting on their defense initially. |

Cougs got hosed on an interference call that led to a Td. The ball was so far out of bounds it was uncatchable by Stretch Armstrong.
