Seems to me as though your poll includes “never” in the timeline. That’s a pretty long time. Yeah, but that's for the guys who, I expect, will be clamoring for JS's head when we don't go bowling. It's not a "real" date. Nah, you clean out the dead wood first before sacking Jonathan if that happens.

Funny reading back on this site how no one has ever mentioned firing JS. Yet, someone posts a poll on when we'll start seeing it from OSU fans.
From my brief time here there's not one poster who has mentioned JS in terms of being fired or not renewed/extended. So, the point of planting a seed of negativity about the HC is??
The huge majority of "members" here don't post. And, like any HC in any sport JS probably has detractors in that fan base and outside this board. But, a poll on his firing, or the fans mentioning it seems hugely counterproductive. And, I'd say the 1st 24 votes kinda show that! IMHO

I answered never. I think he's the right guy for the job. But, as others have pointed out already, he may need to make moves with his staff. I hope when the time is right to do so, he does. He's a smart guy, and he wants to win, so my gut tells me he will do what needs to be done to get the program over the hump.
We also cant forget that the talent level on the roster has steadily increased since he's been HC......and it looks to continue to get better. Even have some talent injection coming to the D line.

I don't know for sure though cuz I don't go over there anymore. I don't like the format, and it's overall pretty angry.....I know weird, right?

I answered never because the other options are ridiculous. I believe we need to give Coach JS time; if he can't deliver then it would be prudent to consider the thought. I still think he is the right choice for the job, but I do believe that he needs to evaluate the performance of the position coaches. He must not allow his friendship with coaches to cloud his judgement - he can't be a Coach Riley that would rather go won with the ship and change direction.
Changes are needed, as many on this Board and other Boards have pointed out. It is only a fool who can't see what other's see; especially when it is amateurs who are noting the weaknesses of this team.

OK. How much did Canzano pay one of you to put up this poll?

I had the exact same thought while reading rgeorge's post. I haven't been over there in a long time, but I think complaining about the Beavers is the only thing that doesn't make most of them angry.

Ther was a beaver"something"24 (can't remember the full name)that used to post about getting rid of Jonathan. Funny thing is he was posting in Andersen's 3rd season we should give GA 6 full years before even thinking about getting rid of him.
He used to post pretty much weekly about uniform choices as well. He seemed to stop posting some time last year, probably because of the lack of blowouts.

Realistically, if JS doesn't get hired away at some point, it will be when the fans have decided that it's a 10-win season before the season even starts but the team starts out poorly or gets only 7 or 8 wins. It's the nature of fans. Even if they still like the coach, there comes a point where the fans get restless and decide that the coach that has brought them success isn't the right guy to take them to the "next level" or that the game has "passed him by".

But, as most here should realize major college P5 football is soon to be split into two financial levels. Not officially of course, but there is no chance in he11 that OSU and schools like its can compete with recruiting top tier players, open transfer portal, NLI and whatever that leads to?! OSU may benefit in having a great environment that unhappy 4*/5* types transfer, but not at a rate that talent and depth will ever be close. A 38k stadium is the right fit for OSU. A&M had almost three times that for Bama. Pac12 TV revenue will never make up that type of difference. I think it's fair for fans to expect 3-6 Pac12 wins a year, and a bowl game 4 or more seasons out of 6. But, fans that think 9,10 wins on a regular basis is reasonable are out to lunch in my opinion. P5 football almost needs to divide the top 25-30 high revenue schools from the bottom 90+ with bowl opportunities split up and like soccer a chance to change levels. May be a extremely dumb idea, but this keeping up with the Jones's is not sustainable.

Jdogge and I disagree on some issues, but she was absolutely being sarcastic. Now, if her poll had been on the 3-4 defense, we could have quite the debate.

May be a extremely dumb idea, but this keeping up with the Jones's is not sustainable. The Beavs have always struggled to get top recruits in here, and we will until we start winning consistently. Until that happens, nothing matters. But with good coaching, we can beat better athletes, though maybe not better teams, if you get the distinction. And in the end, it's just college football. Look at the Alabama upset last week. Look how much movement there is...always is...in the top 25. That will continue. Sure, the rich will get richer, but it has always been that way.
