I'm going to say something several posters here will think is stupid... nothing new. Nolan completes something like 72/74% of his passes, many of them threading the needle into tight spaces and hitting receivers in stride, over 4 games and we have people griping about his footwork.... I hope the coaches haven't been overthinking his technique and messing with a good thing the last couple games. I still think it's been more a matter of defenses improving their coverages the last couple weeks than Nolan suddenly going to crap.

Noyer should be getting more snaps in practice than usual the next two weeks. Seems congruent with the definition of insanity. All that means is if he usually gets 15% of the snaps, he may be getting 20% now. Utah's defense may swallow Nolan up if OSU is not careful...gotta get rid of the ball fast if you're throwing it.

Without a Lindsey and with Nolan behind center, Wazzu was able to play a compressed zone and was able to play a lot of man and did not worry about getting burnt. I think that Washington figured out Oregon State's offense. And Washington State had just enough offense to pull off the upset. Nolan looked better against Wazzu than against Washington. Oregon State's offense had 467 yards and never punted against Wazzu compared to 290 yards and four punts against Washington. But that resulted in exactly zero additional scoring opportunities. Wazzu was better offensively than Washington, which was the ultimate difference in the two games. Wazzu has Tibesar's number. The Cougars' two best offensive games against any opponent the past two years have both been against Oregon State.

Can someone tell Nolan to start throwing catchable passes again and stop throwing those INTs?
