I am going with beav74 on this one.
Taylor, Taya, Kennedy, Talia, Greta
And a bunch of great options coming off the bench. Nice problem to have.

I really think there are only 2 guaranteed starters, Talia and Taylor. I can see good arguments for everyone else. Personally, I don't think Taya is good enough off the dribble to play the 3, and I just think KB is too valuable defensively to not start. The wildcard is this could be Codding. If she's closer to her 2019/pre injury form, she could be an option on the wing as well.
My guess is TVO Greta Mack KB Taylor.

Of all the known commodities on this team, it seems to me that the two who are most evenly matched in the plus-minus column are Taya and Elle Mack. They're not interchangeable, for sure, but they match up pretty darn evenly....Taya does a lot of good things that are hard to see, silent stuff that coaches love, things that are critical in the course of an entire game but never too noticeable unto itself. Plus she can shoot the 3 when squared up. So can Mack....
Greta, as of now, is an unknown commodity, but Rueck talks about her in the same way he talked about Taylor and Kennedy in October of their Rookie seasons - so I interpret that to mean she's the real deal and if she can dribble well enough to handle backcourt pressure, she will be a starter from day one. If she cannot handle intense pressure D in the backcourt, then I'm guessing the job will go to Tea.
So, I'm pretty much on board with those who have pencilled in Talia, Greta, Kennedy, Taylor and Taya..... Mack will spell Kennedy & Taya, Jelena will come in for Taylor, Tea will cover for both Talia & Greta.....and that totals 8 - the number I think Coach is most happy with.
When you play 9 or 10 you invite headaches that most coaches (and most players) don't want. I think Rueck sticks with an 8-player rotation with some pretty damn good talent getting virtually no court time. GO BEAVS!!

Off the topic of this year's starters, but to expand forward on 411's point about an 8 player rotation and the others struggling to get any playing time:
This is a point that has been brought up elsewhere about teams like the Ducks loading up with 5 star recruits in one class, and then, when new classes come in, there's not enough minutes for everybody. This is currently exacerbated by last year not counting.
Scott is in an excellent position in this regard going forward. Look at the class makeup of his 'blue chippers' for next year, 2022-'23.
Senior Taya Junior Taylor, Kennedy Sophomore Talia, Greta Freshman Raegan, Timea
That's spread out very nicely. Would be better to have another guard, but that's 7 of the 8 spots (Sasha would have been number 8; oh, well).
For 2023 and beyond, then, Scott only needs to get 2 blue chippers per year to continually have 8 per year on the roster, and that's all the base he needs or can use. Some will get injured or not work out as hoped, of course, but the roster will also include those slightly below that level, like Aleah, who will develop into mainstays of the rotation.
I like the position he's in on this. No need to stew and fret if the recruiting wars bring ten or eleven blue chippers to Eugene; Kelly can't play them all. Scott can just bring in his two every year - and he will be able to play them all.

Not a done deal that Taya will return for a sixth year! I've always been kinda expecting Taya to be done after this year as well. Not that I wouldn't love to have her back, but she might just be ready to move on. I really think who starts is one question, but who plays and how much is almost more interesting. To me we have 3 players that have to play 30 minutes plus in the highest caliber games, in TVO, KB and Taylor. In addition, we know that Taya has the ability to play big minutes in big games. After that is where things get a bit interesting. How much do the transfers play? Can Jelena play more minutes? What can AJ and Greta bring? I'm glad Scott will have a full pre-season this year, I think there are lots of things to experiment on.

Not a done deal that Taya will return for a sixth year! Not a done deal that any of them will; just looking at it as it appears on paper right now. If somebody doesn't return for whatever reason, that's why you have people like AJ and Jelena on the roster. The main point is that such an approach should provide more stability year to year. If a freshman can see that that the person keeping them out of the rotation is a senior, coming back for sophomore year would seem to be something to look forward to. On the other hand, if everybody ahead of you is just one year ahead of you, pretty easy for the grass to look greener somewhere down the road.

I agree with wbosh15 that there are only 2 guaranteed starters, Talia and Taylor, and I see everyone who has named a starting 5 has both Talia and Taylor listed.....my guess for the other 3 starters would be Taya, Kennedy, and Greta and that is only a guess purely based on how I have interpreted Scott's and the player's interviews thus far. We certainly would not be hurting with Ellie somewhere in this starting lineup. Those are my top 6 for sure....the transfers need to prove themselves at the Pac-12 level of play and that can take a little time as we saw with Ellie last year. My sleeper for increased playing time this year is a former Pac-12 starter at WSU--Jovana Subasic--I've see her play when she's healthy and she's quick on her feet for 6'4" and can rebound and shoot the ball with range well. She was not 100% last year and visibly limping in the games that I saw her.

I’ll go with the majority: Taylor, Taya, Kennedy, Talia, and Greta.

I liked what I saw of her when she was at wsu so there is a chance that she will see some minutes.

He sounds like us singing the praises of some incoming recruit, building her up to be the next incarnation of Sue Bird - the prelude to the arrival of Jasmine Simmons comes to mind. I hope Jo has a successful year for us, but I think she's going to be hard pressed to get minutes. Ellie? Nice player, and I'm sure she'll do better this year than last. But those of you who think she will start should look at her numbers from last year playing in the PAC 12 versus her 3 years at Bucknell. Pretty big drop off. I think McDonald's All American trumps Patriot League Player of the Year. Kennedy starts, but Ellie will see plenty of minutes.

It was someone on this board who anointed her “Pivec on steroids”. Don’t blame Scott for that.

I didn't; read it again. I was comparing Scott's tendency to heap praise on his players to us doing exactly the same for incoming recruits, and I used our hype on Simmons (not Scott's) as an example of our doing it.
