Oregon State's top ranked recruit, OF Tyree Reed will wear number 24 for the Beavers this year.
He can run and throw like Willie, but will he hit like Willie?
Let's hope.

LOL - life would really be dull without old films and You Tube.
Here's the deal - his arm has a scouting grade of 70. Same as Rutschman. 50 is MLB average.
Take that where you will.

Well if 80 is a perfect score or highest grade whichever way you want to word it then Mays had to have an 80 grade. Without question one of the best outfield arms ever so if there is any 80 grades out there he would've had one

Is this the scouting report you're going off of? Lets hope the coaching staff can improve his 20 grade hit tool. Seems like his defense will keep him in the lineup this year.

I don't say this lightly. Willie was the best baseball player I have seen in my lifetime. Incredible athlete and baseball tools.
At 18, Reed can really run, field and throw. At this point, the bat is an issue for scouts. Injury slowed him last year but for a year prior to that, one service said he was the best prep prospect in the country.
I'm excited about him playing in Goss, and with some helpful instructionand improvement in the cage, he could/ should be first round material in the 2024 draft.
