Exhibition games serve several valuable purposes. Beaver fans can satisfy their curiosity regarding new and unfamiliar players because the coaches are evaluating and attempt to play everybody that is new. I have a thousand questions - if I can find answers to 2 or 3 of them, I'm jacked. Does Kmatz, fresh out of high school. really have command of 4 pitches. Is Troskey's glove everything they say it is? Can Tyree Reed really go from 1st to 3rd in about 2 seconds flat?
LBCC plays good baseball, expertly coached by Pat Casey Disciple and former Beav, Andy Peterson. I'll pay attention to the LBCC roster - it's been an OSU farm club for years where future Beavers are stashed that need immediate innings, seasoning, etc. I believe there are a couple there including a freshman pitcher.
The USF doubleheader in Medford will be fun. The exposure to newcomers will continue and we'll get a peek at a former Beaver OF that plays for USF. Darrius Foster played one year at OSU (Class of 2017), transferred to USF and has been a key player for the Dons.

The Medford game with USF sold out today in only a couple of hours. There appears to be unusually high interest in OSU baseball this fall!
