Meh, they matched up well with an overrated Ohio St team......they'll get full of themselves, and lose a couple they shouldn't. I still think we have a better coaching staff. And yes, they are going to out-recruit us. Thats kind of a given. But, we ARE winning recruiting battles against them, amongst other power 5 programs. Big boy pants was NOT.....I think we continue to get better as a program, and will compete strongly in conference......couple more seasons, as long as the recruiting wins continue. I would say Jonathan and company would have likely beat Ohio state at the Horseshoe too. Ohio state is about comparable to Purdue from what I saw. Look for Ohio State to lose a couple of more games this year. They would have lots of problems in the Pac-12 this year if they played in this conference.
For instance, UCLA would have stomped them even worse.
It was really perfect timing for hole to go to Ohio St......brand new QB who looked like a deer in the headlights. I agree that they will likely lose a couple more this year

I think the jury is still out on this. I suspect the Buckeyes just weren't taking the game as seriously as the Ducks were, and the Ducks made them pay. Ohio State lacked focus. After every game, the lead sports writer for the Columbus Dispatch awards "leaves" (up to 5) for the different elements of the game (offense, defense, special teams, officiating, opponent, fun factor). For the first time ever, I see he gave the defense 0 leaves. I don't expect to see the same lackluster performance on D for the Buckeyes again this season.

Noyer looked like a deer in the headlights and how many completions did he have? The problem wasn't offense or the QB.

I believe this is not an objective post. That’s all.

Ohio State played its first game on a Thursday night (9/2). It had an extra two days to prepare. Oregon was one of the highest-ranked teams to visit Columbus for a non-conference game in some time. Oregon has a pretty high national profile.
Ohio State was ready. It was their home opener. It knows it has to be near-perfect to make the CFP. Oregon was simply the better, more physical team. I dislike the Ducks intensely, but I'll also give them credit for a job well done. They went to Ohio State and KTA.

Stroud wasn't very accurate imo. Missed two touchdown passes being inaccurate. Throwing for 484 doesn't mean he made clutch plays. At time he looked like a frosh.

Stroud missed Wilson late on a wide open touchdown, and the interception was a bad throw. To me,statistics are overrated.

They gave up 31 points to Minnesota, which struggled this past week to defeat Miami of Ohio.
They gave up 35 points to Oregon, which struggled in Week 1 against Fresno State.
I know where I'm looking for problems.
