They're beating Uconn 49-0 thru 3. I know Uconn is terrible but I think Purdue might end up being a pretty good team.

They look alot like the Beavs except they're better at this point. Good QB and a terrific DE in Karlaftis. They're a bowl team.
We had the opportunity to beat them but they really shut our running game down.

That score tells you nothing I know Uconn is bad I mentioned that above but doesn't mean a 49-0 doesn't mean anything at all. There are lots of teams losing and struggling against FCS schools. They did what a good team should do against Uconn. If they weren't very good they would've allowed them to score and would've won a closer game within 3 scores. |

just an FYI. Purdues running back that gashed us all night, broke his tibia and is out 4-8 weeks..Sad for Purdue. That guy is a stud.

Week 1 Ucon lost to Fresno State 49-0. Must be there favorite score. Fresno started slowly 0 in first quarter and 37-0 at halftime. Purdue was 49-0 after three. I would say Purdue is better than we thought. Fresno is pretty good as well. Both of those teams Fresno and Purdue seem to play physical defense. I really believe Fresno could have beaten the yucks. Let’s see how Purdue ddoes against Penn State and Ohio state.

I would think Purdue will be a bowl team without further injuries.

I agree, I think Prudue is good. They have a very good WR, a solid RB And QB, then you get to the Defense as described. Some very nice pieces and they certainly seemed well coached. I don't think they are going to lose a game by making mistakes... your going to have to take it from them to get the win.
It will be fun to watch how there season unfolds.

I am not so quick to think that Purdue will rise to the top of the Big Ten simply because we weren't a good enough team in our first game against them. I still believe that if we had started Nolan, we could've won that game. Their schedule looks rough until the end of the season, so if they are good, it will be clear on Saturday when they play Notre Dame.

I still believe that if we had started Nolan, we could've won that game. Their schedule looks rough until the end of the season, so if they are good, it will be clear on Saturday when they play Notre Dame. I think they lose their last 3...if not 4. Then again I thought the Beavers would beat them. At this point anyone looking objectively at Purdue sees they beat the worst team in college football and a lower tier Pac 12 taam at home. Hopefully when all is said and done we add to their SOS and are one of their better wins. |
