Another start for the Rays, 5 innings, 1 ER. Picked up the win and lowered his ERA to 3.25

Pulled after 5 innings of 1 hit ball on 54 pitches. They're really being cautious with his arm, but Drew is playoff bound!

It's not even like he's in a regular 5-man rotation, most of his starts have been on 6 or 7 days rest vs a standard 4 days rest. The ONE time he did start after only 4 days rest, he went 4 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, so it isn't because he's been bad when going on short (regular) rest.

Hard to believe that I will be a Brewer fan, but Go Brewers.

They're really being cautious with his arm, but Drew is playoff bound! I'll say they're being cautious! Rays TV commentators speculated that Drew will start game two in the playoffs. They also proudly point out that Rays have done a much better job guiding Drew than the Brewers did. With Milwaukee he averaged more than 20 pitches an inning. At Tampa he was at 14 per inning and moving down. They have him convinced that his fastball in the upper 90s is hard to hit, and he is just filling up the zone. Really neat to see!
